I have decided to make my FSX all payware as well.

My first attempts at REX...

Took a ride from Oahu to Maui with the USCG...

Nice view of Diamond Head Crater
...

Headed over the ocean with Bellows AFB in the background
...

Leaning into the Trade Winds
...

Settling into a nice cruise
...

Such a beautiful Isle...

Wish I could have such a paint for my Carenado 182 RGII.

Carenado really does make spectacular planes  Smiley

I'm more partial to the REX water than clouds, but it looks a bit too glass-like to look realistic...

But that doesn't stop it from looking stunning! Smiley

"Re: Since I can't compete in the screen-shot comp..."

Nice looking shots. Does anyone around this site run FSX default without payware anymore? I doubt it. We need a monthly payware screen-shot comp...  I can't use FSX anymore either.  Sad

Same here but that would make an unfair competition as there are people who just can't afford payware, like 'the minors' or the students.

Us seniors Grin could probably and easily buy a twenty to fifty dollar add-on but to a student that kind of money is worth a week of food.

I say: keep payware out of the screenshot contest ... we also have 'The Judges Choice'.

Excellent shots BigTruck ... but what did you put into the water? Looks like it's radioactive Shocked

It took me a long time to switch to FSX (just now making the conversion, I still fly FS9, since I am still building up my FSX files)

All my favorite developers no longer make FS9 products so I figured I might as well follow suit and make the jump.  It's been nice so far...

Since you are flying a Carenado product here, I can inform you that Carenado is still developing FS9 products. Their soon to be released Cessna 172N will be for FSX and FS9...

What you say is true Harold, but I can't see any reason why we couldn't have both a freeware and a payware comp. I'm sure we would have plenty of entries. The Judges Choice is fine as a weekly event but it moves a little to fast. Also It puts a lot of pressure on just one person to pick a winner. I think it would be better to make the 1st place winner choose the next theme but have the top three winners be the judges. Nay, probably get to complicated and not enough time in a week.

I'm talking about along the
same rules
as the monthly freeware contest.
One entry per person
. Not unlimited nominations.
