Nice shots. Looks like a good one to have in your hangar.

I had to go to the Captain Sim forums and look up a tutorial to figure out the FMC, once I did though it worked amazingly, flew Detroit to Miami and it was dead on.

@ SubZer0 ... I have Airline AI at 55% and GA at 100% .. Scenery at very dense.. On the ground at Ohare it gets pretty bad (12-15fps).. but that first shot was 20fps (where I have it locked).
@BigTruck ... Yeah, I've been playing with it. What I really like is the realistic startup (took me long time to figure out you hadda initialize the Inertial guidance before the HSI and attitude-indicator would work..lol). It's a LOT of fun to fly by the FMC.. and a good learning experience. You almost need a co-pilot, there are so many cockpit tasks
And that FMC is utterly amazing !

Nice shots, and a beautiful cigar tube!

Seriously, once you get the FMC down pat, you are pretty much sitting with your seat zapped back and your feet over the panel, drinking coffee. The thing will fly by itself, and even land by itself.
Cheers,
RB

Yeah.. I downloaded this, because it's like a $70 piece of payware, and I caught the tail end of a Captain Sim sale (9.99 Euros ($13.00)). I was intrigued by the FMC, but have been totally taken by the quality of the model (and the sounds are stunning). 90% of the fun in flying it, is starting it up.. going through pre-flight.. and getting the FMC programmed
It's almost like an IFR flight-planning trainer.. And you gotta load it realistically (it comes with a neat loading GUI). However *sigh* once you tuck the gear and turn things over to the FMC, it's as boring as any of the default tubes.
Landing it is a bit of a fun challege.. I'm going to make a fun study out of the air/cfg files... It seems VERY realistic. If you come in hot and high.. you WILL have to around (the FMC will fly a nice missed approach for you,, and even hold).. And if you come in too slow.. it gets real "spongy" and unforgiving. I hate to sound like a review writer for a payware company.. but this thing is truly amazing

I'm tempted to say screw gta 4 or arma 2 and go with getting this from gogamer boxed for 35 including the printed manual... would you guys say it's worth it? or should I stick with DCS?

I'm not going to get into endorsing one payware company over the other.. I have to mention though.. that this thing is a resource hog..(you're gonna need a lot more v-card than an 8500 to enjoy it)..
I'm running a Q6600 o/c t0 3.2ghz .. an 8800GTS (o/c as well) .. 4GB of 1600 DDR2 on Vist64.. and it dips below 15fps a LOT while on the ground at a busy airport.
AND.. it has some bugs (probably fewer than a real 757..lol).. and if you dont go slow and really study the manual, you'll get aggravated..
That aside.. the visual model and sound set alone are worth the purchase price ..

well, i'm probably getting a xfx gtx 260 black edition soon, as my 8500 died on the 30th...
i gotta get a new card anyway, might as well get a pwnage card... as far as the aircraft goes, well, i'm tempted to get it, but i find myself turning on FSX less and less and X-Plane more and more, so I don't feel it's that important anymore, now it's down to ether GTA 4 or ArmA 2...

Thought I would step in here real quick...I have a geforce 8500 and it runs the 757 very smoothly...with FS9. I'm not sure how it would work with FSX, haven't installed her to FSX yet, but I'm sure as you said it would require a much better vcard with FSX.
Thought I would throw that in there in case anyone still uses FS9 like me

The CS 757 eats my frames alive. I get 10-15 fps with the 757 from my original 20-40. Locked at 21
Screenshots really don't do this aircraft any justice because it is just incredible! I like the captain view in number two.
