Ran CPUZ and Everest CPUID today and both show my q9650 at 3.0GHZ - 400FSB x 7.5 multiplier.

Thought the multiplier was fixed at 9?

In this case, BIOS is set to defaults - everything on AUTO.

Is this the Intel throttling or speedstep?

Thanx,

Vic
