I'm sorry if I sounded rude in any way, I was just trying to get the whole picture.

Being new here and all, I haven't quite settled in.

Ha you weren't being rude.

It should be a 3 year warranty...
http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/05/xbox-360-warranty-extended-to-three-years/

I knew they had extended it for that reason. Also there was a method with towels that ive heard worked for some of my friends..

Maybe this can help..

Hope it works out! I'd also mention the 3 year warranty to XBOX because they should give it to you and its for the same reason they extended that 3 year warranty for the red ring of death.

Actually, if you click the link to view the official microsoft statement provided in your first link, the warranty is only extended for a general hardware failure indicated by 3 red lights, now known as the red-ring-of-death.

Question for lunitic_8, How many lights did you xbox have? If it was an overheat it would have caused 2 red lights if I remember correctly.

it had 2 red light on the left side of the ring which mean that it overheated Cry
