hi there
i just got a new computer a few days ago so after reading your posts i need some advice ,..do i need to have this Nhancer programe for my ndivia card?
the problem is i know next to nothing about computers i only know how to do a download here and there so im affraid to start doing tweeks and mess up everything.
MY fsx runs good im only having some issues like the scenario sometimes looks kind of blurry and everytime i put in the outside view on the plane it lags a bit.
Do you thing getting this nhancer will fix issues like this?
Thanks

If you are feeling unsure or worried then I would recommend not doing anything at all. Try looking around these forums and other sites and read what tohers have done and learn a bit more before tweeking your own system. If you want some hands on experience follow some of NickN's stickies dot for dot and it should keep you out of trouble. He is our computer guru and is much loved on these forums for his knowledge.
The problem your describing sounds as though the textures aren't loading fast enough, causing the lag and blurries. Have you tried defragging your hard drive? THis may help a little but the main problem would be your system isn't fast enough to handle all of the textures.

this thread should get you started nicely. It has instructions on how to set up FSX properly and also how to defrag. There is a section for XP in there, and I would recommend you skip it if you are using vista except for the part about defragging as it applies to both. If you don't understand anything in the thread post a thread in the FSX section and we'll be able to help you out

Ricky.. it sounds to me like you dont know what you are doing so I would just leave things alone
If you are interested in the use of Nhancer follow the directions in this post which has a link to images of the settings
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1208959973/5#5
however what you are describing is system speed issues and although Nhancer may help the visual 'quality' blurs are more in line with getting the computer optimized properly as described in this thread
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1208959973
and the one part you would probably be safer and best doing because you cant hurt anything is to just TUNE FSX correctly:
FSX TUNING

http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=28735&PID=163716#163716
FOLLOW THE LINK(s) IN THE FIRST POST
SET UP FSX EXACTLY AS I POSTED THEN...
READ BOTH POSTS AND TUNE BY REDUCING SLIDERS AND EDITING THE FSX.CFG BASED ON WHAT I MENTION IN SETTINGS CHANGES FOR FASTER/SLOWER SYSTEMS

yes, it will help in your case but your main problem is the processor
That card will be much faster than the processor you run
The CPU is the primary drag on FSX with the video card second. In reality you need a Intel Core2 or Quad with the 8800GT but it will help you 'some'

Yes. Buy a 500 or 600w PSU and an 8800GT or GTX. I have the exact same computer and along with the new 8800GT and the nhancer and fsx.cfg tweaks I can max FSX (low weather and low traffic) with 21 FPS locked.
If you want details on your system check this out.
