Headquarters-Today the board of directors met in a meeting to discuss plans for both Republic Virtual Airways and the new year to come. "We have many high expectations as well as plans in which to bring in the new year! From improvments on our website to new systems we hope to bring long lasting success to the airline and its pilots", stated Jeremy Ballsmth VP Of Operations Development during and interview held shortly after the meeting.
One topic of discussion was the pending progress and development of Republic Virtuals website and systems. "We are nearing completion on our website having completed over 90% of the site minor adjustments and additions are needed before the website becomes fully operational", stated President and CEO Nicholas Cooper.
With plans to input all Republic Airways flights into the system the airline is eager to show off its custom Pilot Reporting system that incudes everything from a full bidding system to automated forum signatures for use on any and all forums.
A combined agreenment was reached in regards to the airlines start-of-operations date which in the end was set to be the 10th of January 2009. The board went on to say "We feel that getting the airline up and running is most important to our current pilots as well as those interested in joinning. Pilots can easily and efficiently file pireps and use the forums which is what we the board, feel is necessary for beginning operations. More additions and further beta testing is taking place and will continue to through the airlines opening and on into the months ahead."
The airlines Chairman of The Board, Jamal Pratt went on to discuss his work on the Airlines Operations Manual, which to put simply is the airlines rules and regulations. "We have hopes that the Airlines Operation Manual will act and serve as the keeper of the peace. We are strategically implementing barriers which both outline and limit any one persons power, this is an airline for the pilots and we tend on keeping it this way for as long as operations continue. We are also implementing ways in which the airlines current Staff and Board of Directors will for as long as Republic Virtual remains intact, hold power to ensure the airline is run in the best interest of its stockholders and pilots alike. Barriers will exsist that will give the Board full power to over-rule any Executive Staff Member that is intending on conducting himself or the airline in ways unfitting to Republic Virtuals guidlines."
Republic Virtuals VP of Operations Development, Jeremy Ballsmith went on to talk about his involvment and ideas for the airlines well-being and saftey from day to day operations. "Once time allows I will be researching and developing as to create the airlines Disclaimer, Privacy Policy and other necessary Legal documentation needed to protect both Republic Virtual and its interests. I will also be looking into the possibility of either an internship or temporary assistant position here at Republic Virtual to help aid me in the day to day tasks I am responsible for, one of which includes overview and help in developing the airlines Human Resources program as well as overview of its future events.
Updates to come, Jeremy Ballsmith, VP of Operations Development
