Hello, I'm William Ogg, Co-Founder & Chief Operations Officer of Fly The States Virtual Airlines, and I wanted to give everyone an idea of what FTS is about. FTS was created by myself and a friend of mine because we were tired of VAs that were more concerned with running a business than with making their VA an enjoyable experience for the pilots. It seemed like most of the rules VAs were centered around were simply ridiculous. Some of the better examples being 15 flights a month and mandatory downloading of useless software that usually ended with having to reinstall the simulator. We wanted FTS to be different.
FTS is geared toward people who want a level of freedom in flight simming. At FTS you can fly what you want, when you want, to wherever you want to go. We won't ever tell you that you have to fly a certain amount of flights per month to stay active. We do have aircraft and routes to choose from but these are completely optional. At FTS, you're in charge. The thing that is most important to us at FTS is that our pilots have fun flying. FTS is open to simmers of all skill levels, from those who know the simulator inside and out, to those who don't know the first thing about them. All are welcome at FTS!
