WINNERS, WINNERS, WINNERS

Judge Jankees hath spoken! and his choices are :

Anxyous!

...

I love the general composition, the clouds, the lighting and the whole depth in this picture. It also shows not one but two formations of aircraft. In all, I just love the ‘bird of prey’ feel to this picture. Wonderful shot!
And I may have to look at this TrafficExplorer…

CONGRATULATIONS Anxyous!!!!

In second place, ShaneG

...

Very nice composition! You can just feel the big bombers lumbering on, and I like the Mustangs cruising above them. Sunset colors are great too.

In third, Harold

...

Just a fantastic shot. What can I say?

"I would like to thank the others for their shots too, they were great, but unfortunately, I had to pick a winner.

Lunitic_8: very nice dynamic shot, though they were Reno racers, not WWII vintage.

Firemonte007: great choice of aircraft, you never see any shots of Havoc/Bostons.

Mitch: a very nice formation shot, with two of my favorite aircraft.

Mictheslik: Nice formation too, very crisp textures, great shot

But it’s Anxyous who wins, let’s see what he comes up with!

Jankees"

Nice work on a great comp!

Cheers

ShaneG

I got up to 7 to show up in last weeks JC shot. But I have a fairly mid level system and I'm not sure if that's a limiting factor or not. But when I went for 8, it wouldn't show up and I started getting graphics glitches. But it may just be my set up.

I have extended the deadline for this comp to the 3rd of Jan, to allow for the holidays and also to give those unfamiliar with FSrecorder some time to play around with it and get it figured out. Wink

No, I don't think so ... the goal is to create a great screenshot and in my opinion it's irrelevant whether such a screenshot comes from the regular Flight Simulator or its 'Combat brother' nor whether you use a current or an earlier version of either.

But I'll leave it to Jan Kees to be the judge Wink

And I'll have to install CFS3 anyways ...

Well, bad time of the year for one thing. Lots of people have family in town, or are out of town and such. Plus, not everyone is saavy with fs recorder and such. But a challenge it is, and I am working on something myself!

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

but the good thing is, you can just restart the flights, they are not limited to a certain time, but they last for the time you recorded after you've started them. Am I making sense here?

I thought so too, but IMO, the shot itself isn't really edited, there's just a frame with a title around it, so I don't see, why he shouldn't be able to win... Smiley

But it's Jankees' call in the end Smiley

You are right Michael so I've changed the image to the original one without the borders.
I'm not sure if that is allowed but I don't want to break/bend/stretch the rules ... especially with a fellow country man

Wow, thanks Jankees, really didn't see it coming, with such great shots around me! Smiley

It was pretty annoying setting this shot up as well, as slew is a b**** to use at such angles, and I had to do it TWICE, because I lost all the planes, when I had finally set them up, because I wanted to change the time of day  Grin

I'll get something cooking for next week... Smiley

EDIT: Next theme has been sent to Shane Smiley
