The wiis online is still towned down because the framerate is choppy on bigger maps and vehicels would lag it even more, but even with 9 maps it is still a very fun multiplayer experience

Edit: I still play CoD1 on the wii and it supports up to 64 players.... but thats a tad to much for me  Wink

CoD + UO was a legendary time, MP kept simple, it was fun, addictive and their was no gun stupidly powered! all balanced nicely!

they where the good old days.

nice shots, i have stayed clear of CoD5 mainly because the developers are pants on head retarded, and im hearing mixed reports of what its like but im still weary of it.

well i borrowed this game from a friend who got it for christmas and ran through it in 5 hours.... and all i can think is....

WOW!!!!

what a complete step backwards from CoD4 (period obviously but i mean tech wise and gameplay) I see no huge improvements to graphics yet this is running worst! the AI is terrible, If i can be seen then all attention is on me, no matter how many team mates their are. You are the only one to ever be sat shooting, the only time your AI are with is moving between objectives (although saying that the AI when playing as russians works a bit better, but i suppose thats because your always just running down trenches etc etc..) Also the devs have so little imagination! the enemy at the gates rip off is just terrible!

i could go on for ever at how pants CoD5 is compared to CoD4 and how the devs of CoD5 should have their hands chopped off to stop them coding ever again!

but il stop the rant now Tongue

good things:

flamethrower is funny.......

bad thing of the good thing:

unlimited ammo for the flamethrower so you dont have to use it carefully, just hide for 10 secs and get another 20secs of flame. what BS!

While I agree with you about the gameplay, I guess the graphics are with good reason. Think about it, this CoD boasts WATER physics. And fire phyiscs. FSX doesn't have water physics, just landclass defining which area looks like water, reacts to wind (DX10) and will make your plane sink.

comparing the two is a really weird thing to do, considering both games work in a totaly differant way as you said and the way FSX works is to give maxiumum performance.

water physics in this game are not that spectacular, some ripples as they walk, the ocean doesnt look brilliant. meh all so mediocre.

If you look on the Xfire site more people are playing cod 4 than cod waw. So you have to wonder what activision were thinking when they game it back to Treyarch.

Just by looking at the history of the Call of duty games they would know that if they gave it to Infinity ward they would make more money, and at the end of the day isn't that all activision is in it for?

Isn't as good as Call of Duty 4 but it is better than most, if not all World War 2 shooters. The graphics are great, which is really thanks to Infinity Ward's CoD4 engine and Multiplayer isn't that bad. The story is where the game is let down, CoD4 had a really engaging story line that kept you playing. CoD:WaW seems to be repetitive and boring, waking up and seeing a fellow squad member get slaughtered then start fighting back, but there's nothing gripping about any of it.

I've never liked Treyarch, and I think this is where they should just quit and let Infinity Ward take full control of the Call of Duty series.

CoD should have ended with CoD4, the udders of the CoD cow are as dry as the desert!

@T1MT1M: all developers are in it for the money, infinty ward probably didnt want to make another CoD title, so they let treyarch make the game, with the usual pants results.

@Crussel: I agree about the story line, the game could have been better if it was possible at all to like any of the AI, but no, it was all so stereotypical (CoD4 chars where stereotypical i know, but it was new, hadnt really been done before with SAS like it was in CoD4) every WW2 shooter you play the yanks all sound like 50's war film actors, and the Ruskies are just potato eating, comrade loving clones. Treyarchs attempt at an engaging story line seemed to be
1. rip of a movie
2. do it badly
3. start over

whoever said im never pleased, your right, most games released now are pants! they are all far to across the board for my liking, trying to please everyone! genre specific works, look at Half Life, FPS through and through no RPG or RTS elements! now everygame that comes out seems to be a gang bang of multiple genres with the devs trying to grip everyone and it never works!

my shelf is full of old school game titles Smiley

Didn't think of it as infinity ward not wanting to make another one Tongue.
