i'm playing it on the PC... had some trouble installing as well... but putting the GTAIV.exe file to run in win2000 compatibility mode solved all crashes and problems

also i had to turn down sound acceleration to basic, since all i could hear was a loud hiss with it turned all the way up... but now it's working fine

i tried using my gamepad with it (which is based on the PS2 format) but i had problems with the view axes... (and gamepad buttons apparently can't be mapped in this game... go figure   )

but i'm used to playing GTA on the keyboard and mouse... mostly because i own neither Xbox or PS3   but i like aiming with the mouse and i'm probably more coordinated driving on the keyboard anyways... although it would be fun if the gamepad would work properly

besides these problems, the game is awesome in every respect... i am completely awed by it... i figure that's the kind of game a 100 million dollar budget will get you!! thumbs up to R*

now i just need a better pc to run it with better graphics and with the triple head turned on
