Ok guys, I think we can actually do this!

It'd be Mig-15's vs F-86's... just for fun dogfighting Tongue (since there's no way to actually shoot in FS), Near the NK border in China as a starting point for MiGs (I'll find one), and Pyongyang as a starting point for F-86's.
Then, we'll fly up to MiG Alley and do our little battle and have some fun Wink.

I was thinking of the SectionF8 F-86 Sabre vs the MiG-15 Fagot (edit that out if it's considered offensive, although it's its real name) from Avsim.ru (http://www.avsim.su/files.phtml?action=download&id=6499)

If anyone wants to be on a certain side, post here.

Sabres:
1. Sean
2. Alex
3. Wii
4.
5.

MiG's:
1. Shane
2. Goshawk
3.
4.
5.

I'll find some nice scenery while this fills up! There can be more or less than 10 people!

Scenery:

Sounds interesting, but stuff like this can be hard to pull off in FS due to position updates for other people's aircraft when airborne.
In any case, it would be worth a try though. I'll use F8's Sabre.
As I stated in the "Online Today" thread, I'll be online later in the afternoon/evening today.
I would also suggest making sure everyone locks their frame rates to 20 in this situation.

Well, if everybody locks their frames to 20, I bet the bandwidth won't tear it apart that badly...

Besides, I'm sure no more than 6 people will sign up (if more did though, it would be sweet!)

I'm also changing from the Migs to the F-86, due to the fact that I cannot stand the way the MiG-15 looks  Grin

Really? The pics in your link didn't look like the same, could be though, I just already had this one installed and like flying it.
Could also be my HUGE bias for SimV downloads. Wink Grin

I'll be, after looking at the creators of yours again it is the same! Cheesy

How many of the repaints did this one come with?

Both came with two.

Sean and I did some mock dog-fighting over MiG Alley... it was pretty awesome! Although, he turned on the G-effects and kept blacking out  Grin.

EDIT:

Also, Shane, could you tell me if it is unacceptable to say "Fagot" referring to the MiG-15... Cause that really is it's name  Grin Grin

I would say it's ok, Russians have Fagots and the Germans have Fokkers. Grin

If you added another g to it then it would be offensive. Cheesy Wink

My first time checking back here in a while.  I have to laugh because the reason I came back was to post about an event we are having this Sunday - Sabre/MiG dogfights!  Any idea when this one will be?  If it's not for a while I'll go ahead and sign up for this one and also post my own thread, assuming it won't be moved to the purgatory that is the 'other sites' category.

I think this one simply never materialized fully, but with enough reminders, there is a good chance of it occurring. I would wait to sign up for this one until we get a status report from Alex.

Yeah, I see I should have looked at the dates more closely.  I guess I'll go ahead and post mine then.

Yes, if there are people signing up, we can do it with six!

Tomcat, I presume you would like to be a MiG?

If so, if people post the times they can be on, we can probably all agree upon a date!

I'm up for whatever side whenever.  We are doing the same thing this Sunday though so if anyone wants to do it then check out the other thread.
