my girlfriend found out about the series during the summer and read the whole series in  about a week or two.. wouldn't stop talking about it. we were at the movies one day and we saw the previews for the movie (it was still summer then) and she almost ripped my arm off from the excitement  Grin

I hate reading.. I hate it.. yes. hate it. it's boring to me, I can't sit there for hours and just enjoy doing nothing.. that's just me. I understand though that other people like it. however, my girlfriend threw this book at my face (not literally) and made me read it.. I finished it (just the first lol) in about two weeks and I have to say that it was the best book I've read so far (out of like 5 in my entire lifetime  Grin) I haven't gotten around to the next and I probably won't.. the first was enough

we went to see the movie the day it came out and I have to say that I thought it was pretty close to the book. most people I know agree with me about that. I thought the movie was pretty well made but yes it could be a little better.. especially the part where the guy runs really fast because that was just so unrealistic  Grin but what I'm saying is that you have to understand that movies just aren't the same as books and it's impossible to make a movie exactly or even 95% the same as the book.. it's just the difference in entertainment.. if you made a movie exactly like the book with everything happening when and how it did in the book, the movie would probably be pretty boring.. books can take the imagination a much further distance than movies, which is why books are always better

Yeh I was much the same. I think the last thing I'd read before Twilight was Digital Fortress, and that was, ooh... 2 years ago. Before that I barely read anything. And now I am starting the final book in this series! I'm gonna miss it when it's gone.

I get what you mean though. The film is one persons' vision of how it would go. I just think that they missed a few of the decent bits.

Going to watch it again in the new year. With some different friends this time. But it's strange. I know it's not the best film ever, but I love watching it.

yep, same here.. except I'll go with my girlfriend again.. probably several times  Grin

I think the reason you like to watch it is because the storyline is good in both the book and the movie

Well I think the storyline in the books was fab. The music is definately a powerful force making me watch it again (Supermassive Black Hole and Full Moon are great songs indeed). I think it's just seeing the characters get brought to life as well. It really is just something a bit different. Storyline in the film wasn't quite what I had expected, but then it goes back to the book being brought alive.

I think I am saving my friend from having to go see it. Wouldn't be suprised if his girlfriend tried to drag him along to watch it... I know he would get bored. So I offered to give my assistance as I wanted to see it again. No, nothing going on between us... Just a good friend who enjoys Twilight more than her mister.
