Fantastic ....... should be in the photo forum.

So who's techniques did you use? ....... just for future reference.
Er.... oh alright.
WIP Thread:
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1229206788RAFLeigh – shadows…. I tried to add faint shadows (not much sun) for plane and sheep, good idea
Wheel marks…. I didn’t because the field is supposed to be just beyond the airfield.
Remove line w/no mist – done, thanks, might have missed that
Prop small – increased size, looked better... but didn’t use DL section at SSW because I had a cut out of the prop already, will check it out though : )
Mic – increase prop blur – did it, looked much better
Motion blur – wouldn’t have thought of it, did it, it worked I think.
Move plane up – did it
Eno – use prop from original – didn’t do because I’d spent too much time on my prop and blurring it more worked so I didn't need to try another way. But I’ll definitely try it next time. Bookmarked the page
- mud addition tip – again sounds very precise but I had already done the mud by just painting dots of varying colours… so again I’ll try it next time, always looking to improve!
So Eno... I'll try out your tricks next time!
This was the original:

By Jusben at MorgueFile. Composites are such a lot of work! Just finding a suitable background took ages… Apart from cutting out the plane and adding the prop - getting the angle right was killling me! - I also cut out and added the sheep, did gradients on the plane and on the background, added noise, painted and highlighted, added mist via clouds and trapezoid stretch transform, added lighting (a bit overdone), altered colours via the dropper function in Curves as well as by use of curves.... and made the grass area shorter AFTER merging the sheep with the base layer (it was an afterthought) by selecting the sheep layer, moving it up over an expanse of grass between sheep and plane shadow and erasing the area around the line. Phew. Hard work, but I'm pleased with the result. Learned a few new things thanks to you guys + some diligent study and the picture looks (IMHO) semi-believable... apart from the sheep

Have to work on shadows next... and make more fractal flames of course, loving that at the moment.
Thanks again!
