Ok, a while back, a few members introduced to me a few notable bands from Australia...Airbourne and Pendulum.   I must say, THANK YOU!!!  I love hearing new rock, especially from other countries.

Pendulum is starting to get big here in California, everyday I hear them on a certain rock station, (105.3 in the SF Bay Area) and the DJ always announces them as a new rock band from Australia.  (Propane Nightmare is the song they always play)

Airbourne just straight up rocks your socks off.  I haven't heard them on the radio here yet but they are on Playstation 3's NHL09 game (Runnin Wild)

Keep them coming, if you have a local band that has a cd out for purchase please post it, I'm loving this!!!!!!

Dunno if I pointed you towards Pendulum as well but they are one of my main discoveries of this year as well! Tongue Their show last month was awesome!!

You might want to try  "Year Long Disaster" They were the opener for Dropkick Murphys and make some fantastic but easy to listen to rock. As with Airbourne the songs just get into your head and in no time you will be humming the tunes!

Pendulum were great. 90% of their new stuff is terrible IMO.

I like Propane Nightmares, but pretty much all the songs in Hold Your Colours were good ones.

HYC is just plain and very simple Drum n Bass IMHO, nothing wrong with that though. I prefer In Silico however, it has a lot more musical depth to it.

To mr truck, I recommend this site http://www.last.fm/home basically it's a myspace, facebook kinda site but based on musical preference

Find similar artists, tour dates biographies etc etc and make some friend while you're at it. my account name is Redsoui.

I agree, but it doesn't seem to be what they are about. They had a style, which I thought worked well, but then they changed it a bit and I don't really like what it's become.

Not saying their songs would be fab if In Silico was the first thing they released, but they wouldn't be going against what they started with if they released anything else like that afterwards.
