Nope
I can not develop GEX on i7
If I did everyone would be getting 15FPS
No thats my old P35 chipset Q6700 DDR3 1600 system clocked 3.6GHz on a 8800GTX
I use that for GEX because that represents a high end system but still not the best high end system out there... that way as I design I am working both the lower end and allowing the higher end to have ven more
NOTE:
GEX uses the DEFAULT autogen and because of that there is no need for a 'switcher' and any scenery which is FSX SDK compliant will overlay without issues..
Therefore.. there is NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH. What you see in the shots above I maintained 30 frames or better but that does not mean you will.
GEX is using information from Phil Taylor about autogen calls and the amount and type of autogen is balanced based on the system I am using and Anthonys system which is slower than mine.. therefore the autogen slider ticks will have real meaning to the buss and instead of a 'slam job' (FSX default) on the system each tick will define the system in use correctly.
So as you grow with hardware so will your experience.
FS11 is 2 years out with many not switching for a year after it is released, perhaps 2.. GEX is being designed to have a shelf life of many years.
By next the end of next year hardware will be out that can run circles around what I am using.. therefore what you see above is what you will get...
and you aint seen nuthin yet.
US/CAN was just an initial stepping stone.. we will be returning to the US/CAN/ALASKA to pump up the jam into our new format and we will also be ready for the changes coming in FS11
