Hi,
Is it possible to make a plane invisible?
If so.. can someone make a invisible texture for the F/A-18A Hornet?

...mm....am I missing some thing here...an invisible plane? Why the heck would you want an in visible plane.........commoner
...on second thoughts I do have this wonderful set of textures...VERY expensive though...would cost you a lot of bread......but they do actually possess the wonderful quality of being invisible to any man who is unfit for his office or unpardonably stupid.
Send £5,000,000 and I'll email them to you....I'm sure a really bright young fellow like you would soon realize they are totally invisible and worth even more than the asking price......

Let's get one thing straight. There's a big difference between a pilot and &&an aviator. One is a technician; the other is an artist in love with flight. &&&&— E. B. Jeppesen

Jelmer, texturing an aircraft to be truly invisible in FS is most likely not possible with aircraft that are already out.
I'm guessing you would like to have an aircraft that is invisible from Spot or Tower view, but has either a VC, a 2D panel, or both.
To have an invisible aircraft with just a 2D panel would be fairly easy. I could do it for you in an hour or less.
If you want a VC, but the aircraft totally invisible from Tower and Spot views, you would need to get that custom made. And not many designers are going to go out of their way for something like that.
And don't even think about "cloaking" like in Star Trek. It just isn't possible in FS right now, simply because of the restrictions of the modelling mediums.

Simple fix- Find a really old FS FA-18 model and put it in your FSX. Nothing should show up at all.
Err 30kb limit?

Some models such as ai-aardvark will dissapear with the addition of a black alpha channel and the sga dc-9 planes will dissapear if you take away the texture folder!
