It might be a good idea to work through the tutorials over at Hoversafe
http://members.shaw.ca/hoversafe/Hoversafe.htm
first, they'll help turn you into a fine chopper pilot. MP helicopters is tricky if you don't know what you're doing
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

never pull power all the way to idle to slow down. You have to constantly manage your cyclic and collective to keep the helicopter in the same spot. Hand on at all times, with small adjustments are what make helicopters fly smoothly.

Fact:
More Sim V Pilots die in Helicopters than Cessna 152's....
...trust me...
...!
F....All my flying devices have to be fitted with wings, (like a Bird), with a Fan at the pointy-end...
....not a Fan on top, and devoid of wings!...

You may want to also ask at
www.hovercontrol.com
They have online lessons available, and can give you many pointers on the proper procedures.
