Second delay that's been announced in the last month. I think we'll believe Boeing's time scales once it's flown for the first time!

And people laughed at Air Bus's A380 scheduling.

Find one modern aircraft that has been 100% on schedule in the last ten years.  Manufacturers always try to set target dates, but there will always be unforeseen circumstances that are beyond their control.  I'd rather it be late than pushed out the door with glaring defects that might kill someone.

Very true but im going to guess its going to be delayed again and again. Its horrible what's happening not just with Boeing but with the United States. I mean its only a matter of time before some other major company get's put out of business not saying I think boeing will or airbus but im just hating all this bad stuff that happens from the economy.
Im just trying to picture when I become and adult how bad it will be. Im hoping sometime soon everything can get fixed and back on track.

I wanna see this baby get in the air and with airliners but they said they wont be backing down on there offers from this which is good for boeing. Let's just hope after all the delays that have happened and maybe more that will come that nothing goes wrongs with this. Smiley

Don't let this economy thing get you too down.  The economy, like everything else in this world, works in cycles.  There are good times, and bad times, and it always fixes itself.  This downturn is truely global, not just limited to the United States.

I think its more to do with Boeing's continual bashing of the A380 whilst it had its development problem, and now with the 787, when everyone's known it was an impossible schedule, they've been less than candid in admitting their own failings.

Always seems to be subcontractors getting the blame too. Grin
