Hey guys!
I've been saving up for a new system for quite a while now and I expect to be able to buy it next month (January '09) at the soonest. Tell me what you guys think about it compared to my current specs:
Current:
Mobo: Intel DG33TL
CPU: Q6700
RAM: 2GB PC 6400
GPU:7950GT 512MB
HDD: 2x 250GB 7200RPM
PSU: 500W
Case: APEVIA X-Navigator
New system!
Mobo: ASUS P6T
CPU: Core i7 920
RAM:
6GB PC12800
GPU: GTX 260
HDD: 250GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0GB/s (OS)
150GB 10,000RPM VelociRaptor (FSX)
PSU: PC Power&Cooling 750W
Case:
Antec Nine Hundred
Your thoughts/recommendations? I'm really trying to keep it under $1,800

is you or your system

sounds like a list I posted somewhere else..
I dont see any problem with it but if you intend to clock you will need a better CPU cooler especially going from the 920 which will get much hotter than the 940 becuase it requires a higher vcore to accomplish the same clock goal

Thanks for taking a look Nick
Yep, I've looked at all of your recommendations in other threads and I've put this together hoping it would run FSX as well as I hope it will
Ah, yes. I forgot to mention the CPU cooler. Also the one you recommended, the
Thermalright 120 Extreme
With that motherboard/RAM/cooler combo, how far do you think I'll safely get with the CPU?
