I have the Epic LT version 1.6 from Lionheart Creations.  Great plane and I love it.  However, I cant perform an ILS approach... I cant seem to lock on the ILS signal.  I put the the AP in the GPSV mode.

I dont have this problme with default aircraft and other add-on like the eaglesoftdg twin commanche.  I am sure I am doing something wrong with the AP. Undecided

I would appreciation any recommendations

I dont know anything about that aircraft but I would assume you need to be in NAV mode, not GPS. That's how most ILS work. There are some that are GPS but I haven't seen them in FS.

I would agree with this, every plane I fly into an ILS landing needed to be in NAV mode, not GPS (not a real pilot, just a Sim pilot, so I could be wrong)

I don't have the EPIC LT, but yes, all ILS approaches need to have the switch in NAV mode.  Especially if you are flying the approach with the autopilot, otherwise the autopilot will not pick up the LOC or the GS.  The only time it should stay in GPS mode is if you are doing a GPS approach.  A WAAS (wide-area augmentation system) approach is a GPS approach with lateral and vertical guidance - just like a localizer and glideslope.  WAAS minimums are the same or slightly higher( 50ft.) than ILS minimums.  WAAS approaches are not modeled in FS.

Have you entered the runway frequency into the NAV 1 radio?
