Hey guys, I would already be flying it if I knew what it would do to my fps. Can anybody compare it to maybe... flying in the VC of the FSX 747? How does it compare? This bird looks freaking sweet but I don't know if my computer setup can handle it. So help me if possible. Wink

This is what I have "The HP Pavilion a6242n-b includes a huge 22" LCD flat panel monitor and is designed to handle today's digital media. Powered by the AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor 4800+, the a6242n-b features an enormous 3.0GB memory, an extra-large 320GB hard drive, multiformat DVD drive and memory card reader."  Embarrassed I was thinking of upgrading but don't know what to get because I don't know a whole lot about computers. I've used about 3/8 of the 320gb hard drive. The graphics/video card is the Nvidia Geforce 6150SE Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed. What should I get? I had either a better grapgics/video card in mind or maybe a better processor/cpu, I don't know the difference. Mainly I want a better frame rate. HEEELLLLPP! Undecided

It will not perform well at all. I have the exact same computer bundle with the monitor and I did some research and bought an 8800GT graphics card and a 500w power supply unit. Head over to the hardware section here at simv and ask for some guidance on how to upgrade your pc and what upgrades to get. We'll be glad to help Smiley I would post a few links up now but I am posting this from my ipod which lacks a copy and paste function. Hehe

Ps, I have detailed motherboard specs and detailed computer specs for your computer and I will post them asap. Wink

Ok on the comp now. You will see SIGNIFICANT ups in FPS with these two upgrades:
8800GT graphics card.
More expensive, better quality/warranty

Cheaper same specs.

Power Supply Unit

Go on youtube and google and looks up how to install graphics cards and learn about a few of the other components you will mess with. Wink

nVidia makes the GPU (graphics processor) that is inside the card and eVGA and others simply make rest of it up in the simplest terms possible... say HP makes your desktop computer, but it doesn't make the CPU etc on the inside, it simply puts them together and sells them. Wink I, personally, have the evga 8800GT and love it and it is worth every penny. Though the PNY has the exact same specs and is a LOT cheaper and has equal reviews so you may want to get the PNY one...your choice Wink
