If you used system restore than any thing added past the date you went back to will be lost. When you completed the system restore it should have given you a list of files it renamed. Look through your aircraft folder for any file with a number in parentheses at the end like this B747.air(2) You can try removing the number but any aircraft that you had to install with a installer program will have to be reinstalled. What you should have done was to back up your files before you used system restore. Now you can go back to where you were before you used system restore but than you would also have the reason as to why you used system restore as well.

I need more knowledge on computer and FSX.  please illuminate me
question one, what do you mean the aircraft folder? like the b747-400 in the simobjective/ airplane?
question two, where is the ???.air file located?
question three, before I restore, which file or folder in FSX should be backed up?
sincerely

1. Yes

2. It's in the SimObjects/'Aircraft' folder, named 'Aircraft'.air

3. That's for the pros to answer...

abut backing up your fsx folder so you don't lose addons upon reinstall, you should backup:

-effects folders
-gauges folder
-textures folder
-sounds folder
-simObjects folder
-scenery folder

and all subfolders found inside those

this should cover all folders where most kinds of addons may install themselves
however this is a very general guideline... some addons (especially payware) also create folders of their own and may install modules as well, so you might want to check your addons and see which is installed where, so you don't lose any files

as Meck said, the pros here at SimV might answer this question better than i can

Cheers
