This is the heart of system that I am putting together. I would like to explore the option of over clocking the Cpu to 3 Ghz with a FSB of 1333 Mhz. I know I have a lot of reading to do, before I cross that bridge, and that my results may very depending on the stepping of the chip and the initial voltage of the chip, however my question is does anyone see any issues with that end game objective with the components I have selected.

Mobo: EVGA 123-YW-E175-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI

Cpu:      Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775

Cpu cooler: OCZ OCZTVEND2 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler

Ram:      CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

Any suggestions, tips or comments greatly appreciated.

It will do 3ghz without any problems, even on stock cooling - and that's even with a worst case 1.325 VID G0 Q6600.  Wink With that cooler, there's no reason why you can't hit 3.4ghz plus. Smiley
