Okay. So it is my mom's old computer (probably 2 years old I think).  It is an old dell inspiron desktop computer.  I'm not sure about the technical parts of it, but I was just wondering how good these computers were with the flight simulator games and what all is easily changeable for someone who has no real good idea about the technical parts of a computer. I don't really know how else  to describe the computer.. It is not the newer silver one. It is one of the black and gray ones... I doubt that helps at all.... Like I said, I don't know much about the system and haven't used it for a little bit since I am in college now.  I do know that it has quite a few programs and is kind of slow now because of two little sisters that play on it also.  But if I could get it away from them that would probably be the starting point of a computer for me. So if there is any ideas please let me know!
Thanks ya'll

Okay. Sorry for being a pain in the butt about this, but I got home today and looked at the computer. It is a Dell Diension 4600C.
Operating system is Windows XP
It says under the information that it is Pentium 2.8GHz
And under that it says 2.79GHz, 512 MB of RAM.

Okay. So I need to know if it would be worth messing with to use this computer or not. I think I could pretty much get it for free and I definitley need to pretty much erase everything off the hard drive I think. It is used up pretty much.
Thanks ya'll

For a free computer, not bad. You should be able to run FS9 OK but you may want to consider getting a new graphics card. For that computer you could find a good cheap one somewhere. It has an 80Gb HD...not that much, but there are plenty of utilities to clean it up.
Easy cleaner, great basic cleaner.

If you don't have any security software yet then I suggest Spybot, AVG Free and Ad-Aware Free. I use them all after switching from a different security software and they all work great.
