I've basically abandoned my ambitions of creating a flight simulator for the time being, and my FS computer is disconnected and sitting in the closet. I dropped back by here for the first time in a while, and it IMMEDIATELY relit that fire of desire to start back on my simulator. Unfortunately, having a full time job, a wife and two sons makes this rather difficult. Not to mention the lack of space any more!

Anyway, enough whining from me. I just wanted to say hey to everyone, and I'm glad to see this forum is still kicking. Someday I will actually get to dig into this and really build up a cockpit, but until then, I'll just dream!  Wink

Have the options for interfacing with FSX improved any recently? Seems like most pit builders preferred to use FS2004 because of FSUIPC. Seems like FSX was lacking something in that respect... I figure eventually I'll be building a new FS PC, and I will be going for top of the line!

Oh, so you'll be sticking with fs2004 then, huh.

Sorry to hear that you are temporarily waylaid on your project.  Just try to keep flying on a desktop sim.

best,

Yeah I've been thinking about that recently. Just setting up the desktop and hooking my yoke back up. At least I'd get to keep flying then. The only thing better is flying in real life, which I've only got to do once, in a Cessna 172SP! It was a blast. But aside from that, I've always LOVED flying flight simulator.

I'll be getting back into it again eventually though. There's no doubt about that. And when I do, I'll be going all out and building a full pit. I've already decided that much! I am probably going to entertain myself between now and then (whenever "then" is) by doing the design and planning on my pit. That way, when I'm finally able to really pursue it, I'll have that part out of the way.
