For our next event, we'll be having a fly-in and formation practice day on Saturday, November 22.  My idea is this - everyone can fly in that morning with someone acting as ATC for the arrivals.  After that we can split into groups of four or so based on experience and just cruise around the area working on formation skills.  We can probably use default aircraft for the basic flights, and can pick an aircraft or two to send out for more advanced stuff.  I figure this will be more fun since everyone can be flying instead of sitting and waiting for most of the day.

So, let me know if you're interested in hanging out and getting some formation practice!  I''ll get time and location details posted in a few days.

Bump for an update.

We will be flying into KGKT in Sevierville, Tennessee.  I'll be departing with Bear around 12:30 and arriving around 1:00.  We may have someone providing ATC for arrivals, so aim to arrive around 1 EST.  Of course if you want to be lame you can just spawn at the airport but what's the fun in that?

I hope you guys will come join in, it'd be cool to get a big formation going.

Depending on my schedule I could be game for this, I enjoy flying formations and I havent played multiplayer since my last flight with JBaymore over a month ago...however I think we should meet up at Cherry Capitol, beautiful airport and I can take off from my hometown of Escanaba and fly in within an hour depending on the bird.  Plus we can enjoy some scenery while we work on formations...(Makinac Bridge, Beaver Island, hell we could wind up flying over Meigs!)

Just my two cents  Wink

That's a good idea for a future event, but we already have everyone set on KGKT. We haven't had an event in Tennessee before and it is a little more centrally located.

If you want to meet up, I'll be departing Detroit to pick up a buddy in Illinois (and then on to Tenn) in the morning. The time table has been pushed up a bit but just show up whenever you can.

Hope to see you there!
