I was thinking of getting this, is it good? Worth the buy? Or should I wait for MSTS 2. Also, how well will it run on my specs: Dual core 2.53Ghz, 4gb of ram and GeForce 7050.

There's a demo for it on gamershell.com or something like that website. I was wondering the same thing also..

I've got the demo... looks quite good. One question, is it all steam and old fashioned trains, or are there any new ones?

No, there are modern ones too. I don't have it yet, but I want it since I'm also a train nut.

I have it. It has a nice collection of trains available for use. Along with old fashioned steam engines, more modern ones are also available. Not to mention there are plenty of 3rd party addons available for it.
MSTS2 looks marvelous though and I'd like to give that a try too

I bought Rail Simulator a few weeks ago I am in love with it!
The graphics are soo good and there are lots of missions and trains to use.
If you are going to buy it get it off ebay for around $10.
