Thank you to all the men and women serving their countries to keep them free.

A particular "Thank You" to all the American Veterans for defending freedom in every corner of the world.

A really important day, unfortunately ruined somewhat by those 2 and 3 rows in front of me in the assembly (rememberence for the 50 lost from our school) who didn't quite see the importance.

I did my part, though small to own illness and schoolwork, to help raise funds through the poppy appeal. I hope it just helps the families or those injured.

I appreciate it, I've never been thanked before. I did the best I could.

As usuall, I paused my music, and took a break from my homework and took a couple moments of silence.

To all the men and women who are, and have ever served in the military, who worked or fought for freedom, I thank you.

To the men and women who sacrificed their lives for freedom, I salute you. May you continue to rest in peace.

To my friends who didn't make it home with us, I will never forget you Cry

You never do forget, that's for sure. I've talked to Veterans for WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Besides my own personal demons. None of them have ever forgotten a fallen comrade. They might forget a wife's birthday or an anniversary, but never a fallen comrade.

They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.

This is indeed the best day to remember all those that served for our freedom and safety... in recent and less recent history... those that survived difficult times and those who gave their lives...

But let's also hope the all the leaders in our world see the light and pull all resources to stop the useless loss of life. Too many good men and women lost their lives over causes that should not be...

A big thanks to those that have fought, and continue to fight, to preserve the freedom of my country. And another big thanks to those veterans of other nations, who fought and continue to fight for ideals similar to our own.

"All war is stupid, basically.
It's not a smart way to live...
[my] country was threatened and I tried to do my part...
I would do that again...
that we have to go to war and destroy each others' lives is unfortunate."
