Just another quick update for you. I still need to get the stripes on the fuselage and fix the color on the wing tip stripes, but I think I have most of the little details worked out. I also applied the alpha channels this time so you could see what it will look like with the shine.
So study hard and let me know if I'm missing anything else. Wink

For the most part it's looking great. I'm glad to see you finally figured out that tail piece. Just that those two little fins on top (above first and second windows) should be blue. Also, that door frame should be the same glod color as the ouline of the N-Number. And one quick question: What are those white lines on the engines? Once you get those lines on, I think it will look as close to perfect as possible. Thanks again.

Cool

Those white lines are the character lines, I didn't know if you wanted to keep those or not. Or I could just make them a different shade of blue to help them stand out a little less. I'm still trying to figure out how he got that door trim to be gold and where it is they are hiding those fins in the paint kit. Undecided
I'm really glad I took this project on. I have learned so much about repainting and my graphics programs from this experience. I'm looking forward to doing another soon. Maybe I'll dig out the old Su-47 and give that a try! Wink
Thank you for your patience with me on it. I know it's taking a little longer than I first thought, but I think it will be worth it in the end. Wink

I would like those l ines to be as invisible as possible, since you don't see them on the plane.

Here are my end results. There are a couple of issues that are unavoidable, at least with my current knowledge.

First: Both antennas are affected by the same texture patch and must be the same color.

Second: The door frame and parts of the landing gear are affected by the same texture patch and therefore, some parts of the gear will be the same gold color.

Those body stripes were a real pain in the butt for me, so I hope you like them. Wink Cheesy

I have used one of the photos you provided for the textures thumbnail so when you install this, it should be all good to go. If you're happy with this, just PM me your email and I'll zip it up and send it your way! Smiley

Oh my gosh, I feel really bad. It all looks so amazing, but the stripes are the inside color of the Number, not gold.

I can see you like getting ready to through the computer out the window and yell "Screw it! I can't take this huy anymore!" Other than that it all looks amazing and I can't wait to get it. Thanks again for your patience. Sorry.

LOL!! Grin That's easily fixed Wink I thought they might be a little darker, so if that's the only thing, I'll get that fixed up and be done. Would you like a cfg for it or would you like to do that your self?

i would like a CFG if you could do that. One teeny little thing too. Could the frame be a tad less yellowy. Just a little darker in color. Also,  if it's not to mucht trouble, Could I have this next to the door?:

Shoot hold on. I'm on the wrong computer. I don't have high res pics of it right now. Give me a little while to get my other computer and cut the picture up to show you what I mean. In the other post you can see there's a little decal/icon thing nect to the door on the left. You could probably just paste it on if I gave you a more zoomed in and higher res shot right? Thanks.

I've been pointing out all the things that need to be fixed, I should probably say that you captured the paint perfectly. The jet looks great.

No. I don't really need that on there. I looked at the pictures and they're not good enough. You can't read it. To much of a glare. THe one time it's at my airport and it's sunny.  Angry

Added the logo, and tweaked the stripes. Gotta smooth them out a little, but I cloned the color from the numbers. And added a pic of the VC this time. Wink

interesting. ive not been following this (sorry!) but a few questions - what aircraft is this your painting? Is it fsx or fs9? What are you using to paint it?

Have you got a picture of the aircraft your painting to side by side it - ive seen the aircraft on here in another post somewhere i think.... Cool

Hey! A true repainter has entered the building. Smiley It is the Premier Aircraft Design's CL-604 for FSX. I am using PSP9 and DXTBMP for the paint work, and using the paint kit supplied by the makers.

Here is the side by side:
...
...

Bear in mind, this is my first real attempt at a full repaint, and I have had to learn a ton of how it's done on my own. All three threads showing its progress are still on the front page of this board. Smiley

Also I should mention that since that screenie, I have tweaked a couple of things on it, such as the lower color and the stripes and the door frame color. Wink I just noticed also that the original plane does not have the chrome on the winglets so I got another thing to fix. Embarrassed
Each time I see the photo, I find something else. Grin Wink

hmmm i see. Stripes Shocked Stripes that are not only not straight, but taper and other stuff! Grin

Stripes - i hate them and they make me pull my hair out. Especaily ones like this! Well done for attempting them in your first repaint...!

Looking at the aircraft it looks pretty 'easy' to paint - but closer inspection reveals its highly detailed and certainly not somthing id attempt for my first go!! Kudos to you sir!

Ive discoverd doing one stripe, then bending it to follow the lines you want, then duplicating it, then tapering them off as a whole works pretty well, but they still rate as nigh on impossible somtimes!

How good is the paintkit?

I would have to judge it as excellent, simply because I've managed to get this far with it. Wink It comes with all the needed parts clearly labeled(for the most part) and all the needed alpha channels for the shine. I had to borrow some textures from the actual plane to make a complete texture set, but I think that's what they had in mind anyway.

Thank you for the kind words. Those stripes have been my biggest pain so far. Undecided Everytime I think I have them right, I see something on them that I feel I should fix. Sad I don't want to hand over a repaint where I've said "The heck with it, he gets what he gets."
I took this on and want to give him the best possible effort that I can give with results as close to that photo as I can get them.
I got one side as close as I feel I'm gonna get them, just gotta finish the other side and then post a pic for approval and that should be it. Smiley

Edit: Just seen your post after I posted this. Wink
