Added the logo, and tweaked the stripes. Gotta smooth them out a little, but I cloned the color from the numbers. And added a pic of the VC this time. Wink

interesting. ive not been following this (sorry!) but a few questions - what aircraft is this your painting? Is it fsx or fs9? What are you using to paint it?

Have you got a picture of the aircraft your painting to side by side it - ive seen the aircraft on here in another post somewhere i think.... Cool

Hey! A true repainter has entered the building. Smiley It is the Premier Aircraft Design's CL-604 for FSX. I am using PSP9 and DXTBMP for the paint work, and using the paint kit supplied by the makers.

Here is the side by side:

Bear in mind, this is my first real attempt at a full repaint, and I have had to learn a ton of how it's done on my own. All three threads showing its progress are still on the front page of this board. Smiley

Also I should mention that since that screenie, I have tweaked a couple of things on it, such as the lower color and the stripes and the door frame color. Wink I just noticed also that the original plane does not have the chrome on the winglets so I got another thing to fix. Embarrassed
Each time I see the photo, I find something else. Grin Wink

hmmm i see. Stripes Shocked Stripes that are not only not straight, but taper and other stuff! Grin

Stripes - i hate them and they make me pull my hair out. Especaily ones like this! Well done for attempting them in your first repaint...!

Looking at the aircraft it looks pretty 'easy' to paint - but closer inspection reveals its highly detailed and certainly not somthing id attempt for my first go!! Kudos to you sir!

Ive discoverd doing one stripe, then bending it to follow the lines you want, then duplicating it, then tapering them off as a whole works pretty well, but they still rate as nigh on impossible somtimes!

How good is the paintkit?

I would have to judge it as excellent, simply because I've managed to get this far with it. Wink It comes with all the needed parts clearly labeled(for the most part) and all the needed alpha channels for the shine. I had to borrow some textures from the actual plane to make a complete texture set, but I think that's what they had in mind anyway.

Thank you for the kind words. Those stripes have been my biggest pain so far. Undecided Everytime I think I have them right, I see something on them that I feel I should fix. Sad I don't want to hand over a repaint where I've said "The heck with it, he gets what he gets."
I took this on and want to give him the best possible effort that I can give with results as close to that photo as I can get them.
I got one side as close as I feel I'm gonna get them, just gotta finish the other side and then post a pic for approval and that should be it. Smiley

Edit: Just seen your post after I posted this. Wink
