Accel F-18 Afterburner fix (Read 950 times)

My afterburners have wierd black squares over them. I was wondering if anyone had a fix for this. The squares get annoying and they get in the way of some good screenshots.

1.6 ghz, 768 MB Ram, 256 mb video
I know my system isnt top of the line, but the afterburner used to work fine.

And this only started happening a few days ago.
Its worked just fine since i got the game a year ago.

Any new aircraft in your hanger, maybe one that used an auto installer?

Have you loaded any addons that might have overwritten the texture bitmaps used for rendering the afterburner effect? If they used to work but don't now, then this might be a cause. The effects bitmaps are to be found in the effects/texture folder.

I dont think I've overwritten any effects and I havent installed any planes recently. Can anyone send a copy of the afterburner effect to me?
