WINNERS, WINNERS, WINNERS

Judge GtiRob01 has come through with a result for his transport comp! :

“This had to have been one of the best round of shots I have seen in any of these judges choice contests. All shots were great in many ways. This was a very, very difficult decision to make, but I have chosen the top 3.

This weeks winner is…

Firemonte007!

...

This shot has it all. Great aircraft, great scenery, and cargo! At quick glance, one would think this was a real photograph. I love the angle on it as well... very different. And I like that!

CONGRATULATIONS Firemonte007!!!!

In second place, Aussiewannabe

...

I thought this was a great tribute. Seeing that C-47 flying over the cemetary is a fine gesture to all fallen soldiers. The choice of aircraft and scenery is top notch!

In third, RAFLeigh

...

Well what can I say.... my tri-engine jet contest entry was titled, "What can brown do for you?" This shot goes well with that title! The MD-11 is one of my favorite heavies, plus it proudly wears the "brown" logo! Sorry FedEx guys!  Tongue

I would like to thank everyone for participating in this wonderful contest!

GtiRob01"

Great comp all!! Off to inform the Bondster right now.

Cheers

Krigl

Nope. that would be called a bomber!

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

My next store neighbor past away in September, As a World War II veteran, he served in 5 European campaigns during the war, including Normandy (first drop) and the Battle of the Bulge.

As part of the massive airdrops in support of the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944, 1,000 C-47s provided the backbone of the airlift capacity and delivered 60,000 paratroops and equipment in 60 hours.

My tribute to Robert Krug: a lone C-47 flying over The World War II Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial which is situated on a cliff overlooking Omaha Beach and the English Channel in Colleville-sur Mer, France.

I know, but I really don't care for the LCF.

I'll get a good shot into this one.
