I am still looking for a good painter to make a paint job of this for me (on Premier Aircraft Design's CL-604 for FSX):

...

...

I can supply more pictures to anyone interested in the project.

Cool

While I cannot promise any thing on the results, I have been tinkering with repainting here lately and am willing to give it a try. Is it a freeware and if so do you have a link? It looks like it might be within my current abilities and I do have a rather nice paint and edit setup.
These two and a top, bottom, nose and tail shot will be needed for getting it right from every angle I imagine. It will give me something to do with all this cold weather free time! Wink

When this aircraft came up somewhere else the question was asked what colour it was.blue or green

It was said it has a special type of paint that changes colour with the light angles

This was the reason given for it not being done Shocked

An interesting challenge Tongue

If you choose to do this, I would prefer a color closest to the first picture. I can PM you some more pictures, not so much for the colors, but for what it looks like from different angles.

Cool

That will work! It would be nice to know how games like Need for Speed acheive that color changing paint trick on the cars in their game, that would make for some very interesting aircraft paintjobs!
Go ahead and PM me those other pics and I'll grab the plane and get started. Wink

Well, I decided to give it a go this morning - I know it's not accurate and I know you wanted a good painter but I wanted to try something and seemed relatively simple so I gave it a shot - It's my 2nd time repainting so go easy on me!!

...

...

...

...

Like I said, I know it's not accurate. But if you like it, give us a shout and I'll upload it. I don't want to upload it just yet, plus I want to contact model author first.

How long did that take? Shocked I've been messing with it for two days and just got the body and wings done! Taking me forever to trace out all the character lines!
I guess I still finish what I got to see how it turns out, but I know
B-valvs will be happy! Wink

Lol, just this morning.

Now if you had a look at my wings, which you can't really from the screenies I've taken, they're just cream coloured. I didn't use any panitkit, I edited one of the default textures on the pack. Because I'm rather new on editing this kinda stuff, I'm not exactly sure if I'm allowed to do that  Grin

Details like the nose (omg pixels) and the T-tail (the patch of white I missed out >_> ) are hints that I'm not very good at it lol. The registration number was quite easy - I skewed it to make it 'italic', colour gradient and a real light outer blur. I should have done stroke. The font was 'Butterbelly'.

Anyway, yours will probably be better than mine lol. Grin

EDIT: I can send over the PS files if you're REALLY interested  Smiley ... somehow...

EDIT2: Shoot! I just noticed the registration number on one side - the italics are leaning the wrong way lol.

That's very nice Prasopchai, but something about the nose and very back of the plane (both places where the aint kinda' bend) just don't look quite right. It looks like theirs some cmpetition for this paintjob this time.  Roll Eyes

I think I know why those spots look a little weird to me. I don't think you're bending it gradually enough, because they do get to the right points. I think the abgles are to much though. Sorry I'm so picky about this.

I'm new. I'm allowed to be wrong.  Cool

Yes, I'm quite aware of all the mistakes in it. The nose is hideous to be honest, all that pixelation and the dodgy bend. I didn't spend long on it and I just litereatly wanted to try it. So when ShaneG kicks his one out of the hanger I can look at his and compare with mine.

Be picky!! You did say you wanted a good painter after all. It's no good patting my head, saying it's brilliant, when what I've made clearly resembles Gordon Brown's backside. Because I'll go off making lots more of them. Critizium is good.

I'm no competition - I'm a flop  Grin

Take notes Shane:

The trim around the door should be a gold color (sorry). The little thing on the bottom should be white (sorry).

...

The last window on the door side should be a tan color (sorry)

...

I don't know if this is part of the model or not, but if it isn't there should be two of those. (Sorry, if that's part of the model, don't worry about it).

...

And the first window on the right side should be tan. (Sorry)

...

Sorry I'm so picky. You can see why (if I learned how to paint and got the programs) it would take me forever to do this.

Cool

Well, the trim around the door is part of the model. The thing at the bottom - if I had made that white, the one on the top would be white too. I couldn't really see a way around that but maybe it's just me.

Didn't notice the tan window >.> (also the white paint below the window is too high lol)

There's only one antenna on the top ^^

Didn't notice the other window either  Grin

EDIT: The windows - they're also part of the model it seems - no-where did I make windows  Grin

The little things are important I guess - not to fear, I am learning and taking note  Cool

Well, I'll just say I never added a door and there was never one on the textures lmao.

The 'Tan window@ looks like something inside or a blind pulled down.

The window itself looks like a regular window.

If it only took you a few hours to do that I must be doing somthing wrong, because I've got 2 days into this so far, and I'm only about half way done! Embarrassed  There is a hell of a lot of details to trace around on this thing for such a simple design!
Looking good so far. I should have some pics for you later tonight or tomorrow. Wink

Awesome  Grin

You take your time, pal, because it'll probably be worth it. I mearly painted top half cyan, bottom bit cream, copied the brown lines from the photo and skewed them at each end (which is why the nose and tail look so pixelated) and punched in N832SC. Other than that there's no details on the fuselage haha. If you don't mind, I would like a copy of yours when you're finished so I can compare mine, because we know yours will be better lol, and I can see where I went wrong. A lot.

Just in case you missed my other post, the registration number font is 'Butterbelly' if it makes life any easier - I just found that by sheer luck lol. You'll have to adjust the italics manually though.

In the mean time, I've been playing with the same model, only things I did quickly so there's not much detail here either:

On the left side it might be, but I know that oin the right side it's the galley. I've been inside so I know where all that stuff is. Everytime I've seen the plane that window on the left has been that color also, so I'm pretty sure that should be in the paint.

Cool

If a permenant feature then yes

Looks like cut out windows though wich means whatever is inside would have had to be modelled for that effect.
