Does anybody know, I care about the water and reef function most. is DX10 necessary to run REX ? thanks
No, DX10 is not required.
But by the time it's released, DX9 will be extinct anyway....
Most likely going to have a directZ 15 requirement
But they really need to hurry up before FS11 is released

I've decided to purchase this, if/when it comes out.
I'm really looking forward to it now however I might get the DVD version because I can't even begin to imagine what the filesize will be.

Make no mistake, it will prolly end up been the legend of legend add-ons if/when this comes out.
Despite critism, wait frustrtation I will also buy.
As for file size, I think they mentioned 9GB used after installation. As for the download, I bet it will be fairly huge. I'll prolly also rather get the DVD version.

It would appear that the excitement about the release of REX was a bit prematutre.
There seems to be some trouble over at the REX fourms when ever someone asks about the release and they seem to be back tracking about the previously stated release of REX before the end of the year.
The best they are saying now is "it will be done when it's done" and have removed any references to "comming soon" and are simply saying it is "unreleased".
There has been an unconfermed report that REX and DNF heve been seen flying together into the sunset.

I was
when I saw the post where the beta tester went off on the poster of the thread, heck hope they ain't gonna react like that when after-sales service starts.
So from what I have seen I think it would be fairly safe to say that the developers have pissed of a few potential buyers.
Of course they like to mention that those who haggle about release are immature, they seem to forget that potential buyers are not pissed of that it is not released...
...but because they were lead to believe REX will be out shortly, holding them from buying competitive products.
Above is only my opinion since I have long given up on REX

I do believe you hit the nail on the head.
It would seem that all the "comming soon" references were just designed to delay people from purchashing a competitor's product.
Right or wrong, this is the perception.
