In the SimV news today:

Breaking news on the development of REX.

The well know developer Tim posted a different type of reply on the very sensitive issue regarding the release date.

Now this in its own right is amazing due to previous reply's regarding the release date by Tim were answered "It will come when its ready" or the famous words "We are still in beta testing".

This reply however states the following:

"We are now at the stage of creating the help docs and preparing the product page at the Flightsimstore.com.  That should give some sort of hint".

As for now this injects a new hope of finality or will this be just sticking the allready far of carrot closer to the nose?

Brought to you by mouse the REX stirrer for SimV news, over to you ....

Grin I was just on my way in here to post in the 'are you drooling' thread the same thing.

It was posted in the REX forum in the 'where's the release date' (LOLz) thread.

Funny thing about the carrot... it works!!  Grin

we've been told it will be released soon for over a year, and 'imminent release' for months. I'm still not getting excited... Grin

Further Update!!!

Read Below!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

REX now shows on the Flightsim store as a coming soon with a whopping price of $39.96

I am pretty sure a store like Flightsim would not do this if they were not certain that it will be out soon.

I am on them like Jackie Chan, will report back on any new findings  Grin

The guys at OrbX are helping out REX, so like FTX, it will probably be exclusive only to FSS. Nothing to do with whether or not they are sure it will be out soon.

I have to assume the all the major work has been done and the core program is ready for release.
Probably just a few minor details to address before release is announced.

When we waited this long why rush it now as a another week or so will not matter at this point.
Hopefully , it will be worth the wait.

As for the price, the monitary exchange rates  fluxtuates daily in todays volitile situation. As I understand it, the cost of REX is based on ther New Zealand dollar.

By the time this comes out IMO, we will all be having 100 terrabyte hard drives and 10 terrabyte VRAM   Tongue
