Okay well today I was playing my step brothers fable 2 and I got the RROD. This first time ive got it. Well my step brother has a 360 also in his room so as Im walking I get to the hall and he was about to walk into my room. We ended up BOTH getting the RROD at the same time.
I thought well that couldent just happen so it must be from our power being transported into the xbox.

Any ideas of what you think Grin

If you can't still use the 360, is there still a warranty on it? If so i belive you get a new 360 and 1 month free Xbox live, i think

Well it runs fine now. Someone told me its 3 months but I just got 13 months and I dont want to send it in if my brother got it the same exacty time as me.
Although if if it does it again ill have to. I think there warranty is 3 years becuase of the RROD and its wierd because I go online after that and on yahoo it said Xbox's RROD and it said Californians are trying to sue microsoft becuase they think Microsoft knew there was a problem but hoped they could get away with it secretly.  Roll Eyes

A lot of people are getting them after playing Fable 2...

I'm kind of considering not buying it.  Shocked

Well idk Fable 2 is an awesome game. Its really fun. I told my dad this morning and he said he was at his office about 5 mins away and at that time there was a power surge. So thats what I think triggered or something to get the three red rings on both of our xbox's at the same time.

Its worked from 5pm till now fine Wink

Sure it was RROD? RROD is three rings, general failure is 4 rings, 4 is recoverable on your own, 3 is in the two million pile wait list.

That's why I don't have a 360, PS3 all the way!

The thing is though, when I was 10, I called that it was going to be a disaster (before the launch I called it, by the way), and whaddya know, I'm right  Grin.

Grin..
Im xbox all the way got there first one when it came out and got the 360 a few years ago..
PS3's would be fun but without live or halo and other games xbox takes over ps3 not by much  Wink although thats how I think of it.

Yeah it was the 3 red rings blinking at me saying haha I almost freaked you out. It was the first time it had happen to me I was in a quest on fable and bam the tv is black I look at the xbox and its blinking I stare for a little while turn off then go to my step brothers roon when bam he was in the hall too about to say his got the red rings.

Although if it was the power which most likely was why did the red rings of death appear Huh...
It works fine now so it must not be my xbox and I dont wanna be on that 2 million list  Grin but once my original xbox sparked up because it was overheated and I sent it in and next week it was back.

Then after the red rings people told me theres was in there for 6 months and some still dint get them back. Shocked..

Everyone has the warranty. 3 years free extended for RRoD coverage.

A full '4' lights is the AV cable being incorrectly inserted.

The 3 quadrants is obviously your nasty one.

Good resource for the light codes

umm PS3's have the internet with wireless built in?? xbox you gotta pay. pretty much like every microsoft product. But you pay for much more than you bargained for with them Tongue.

and heres me preferring 360's over PS3. but cant ignore the facts.
