I was thinking of getting the Alphasim AH-64D for FSX, but I wanted some feedback first. Has anybody got it? Is it a good buy? And, does it have firing guns?

The aircraft itself is quite nice.

The Flight Dynamics seem spot on for what I'd expect of the Apache. I believe I remember a little difficulty with doing some of the fancier maneuvers (barrel rolls, loops; Things generally capable of the Apache).

The cockpits are a little.. empty for my tastes, with it looking very spacious and not a lot of gauges to fill up that area; Then again, I'm used to Cold War era Fighter Aircraft, where everything has at least one back-up gauge  Tongue

I think it's worth it, myself, but would rather have spent the money on a nicer Jet Aircraft; Mostly due to only liking a few Helicopters.

Actually, I think the flight dynamics are quite off for something like the AH-64 airframe...

...in fact, quite off for something that's a helicopter. The thing feels like a damn Humming bird with maneuvering capabilities rivaling an Extra 300...

...but the visuals are top notch, and its very FPS friendly. The VC is a little empty, and too low res. and lacks too many functions for my tastes.

If you just want a model, then go for it; but if you want anything more, its honestly not worth the price ($30 bucks is it?)

I've read many reviews concerning the Alphasim AH-64D, none rating it below 8/10. In summary, all reviews are positive, but a few seem to think it's a little overpriced.

Echoing what Jeff has said, I only have the A model and the visual model is stunning and the VC is pretty good, but also pretty basic.  I can't say much about the flight dynamics as I only have 1 lonely hour of flight time in a real helicopter, so I don't know how an Apache should feel but I think Jeff is probably correct in saying that it handles a little too easily and nimbly for an Apache.  There's not a realistic start up or shutdown sequence which again is standard for AS helicopters and is a bit disappointing.  For $30, it's ok, nothing special though.
