OK... hint for the judges... Tu-142 is NOT part of the 'PVO Dalny'... that one is from Naval Aviation (operating under a totally different command structure).... they do fly Tu-22M3s too but carry different markings

Il-78s are allowed (aerial refuellers), tu-126 is NOT (that one is from PVO Strany)

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here

Relax Ivan....we know you know a lot about this Russian stuff, and that can be helpful for all of us... but I have a feeling that for this contest, if it has Russian military markings, and it can fly for long distances, it's good, but I'll let An-225 make the final call.
Not all of the contestants know the minute details of what served where and with whom, and it would be difficult to disqualify a shot based on a lack of knowledge of this degree.

Ivan, Sean is right. Just as long as it is a Soviet/Russian transport/bomber with Russian military markings, it is fine. Wink

That Tu-142 was slipped in because I had to race to send the pics to Krigl, and it was the only thing resembling a transport I could find under 50 mb.

I just to use this model for this comp. Even though there is no VC, it looks and sounds just great, and it even flexes its wings in bad weather...

I still haven't seen a Tu-95V releasing Tsar Bomba - or a Tu-22 at low altitude over Alaska - still room for more shots. Wink
