Er, guys, I sure do need some help here.As far as adding AI traffic goes,Im a dodo.I have downloaded lots of aircraft labelled suitable for AI traffic.Im instructed to add it to my FS9 main aircraft folder and I obey, and poof!nada!

Maybe someone can suggest a web-page devoted to patiently guiding a non-com through the basics from the bottom up,or perhaps kindly take me through the steps, leaving nothing out.I promise to name a room in my house after my helper - but I must first see them (AI) wing past in virtual formation before my eyes.

I now wait with bated breath.

John,

Now Im darting off to get TT-Tools.Let's hope it ends my sorrows. I mostly fly out of my local airport on FS9 and in real life four scheduled flights come in every day with the B737 being the predominant craft.Lots of GA inbetween. So, I sort of want to replicate that...and even beef things up some more.

Once again, ta.

Go to World of AI and on the main page is a link to airports.
Simply insert the ICAO code of your airport and it will tell you what WoAI packs to install for your airport.
Nice little feature they've given us.

Guys, guys, Ive got good news. Went to AI World as directed and pinged three airlines in my region. Fingers rattling with nervous excitement I followed the cues and finally loaded my FS9.Guess what, I found two of the newly downloaded taxiing for takeoff at our region's main-hub.Oh boy!!!

Well, thanks y'all.God bless and see ya around soon.My next worry is expanding on the local wing of our airport. But let's save it for later while I enjoy the improvement on my AI. Wink     Grin

KJ,
You sure are a buddy. The only problem now seems to be getting to see the AI elsewhere beside DNMM.How do I twig that to happen.I worked out somewhat that the edit could be done from the Woains24 or the TTools202 folders both of which popped on my desktop after I downloaded TTools and World of AI.Am I correct on that?

I've tried to change the % on that edit package and saved the changes, but still no dice.Any tips, please?

Start up the WoAI installer and click on 'Expert'. You should a list of the Airlines you have installed**. Highlight  an Airline and click on 'Airport Info'. You should see a list of all airports that Airline (package) flies to.

** Provide you installed packages directly to the sim, not to 'Extract files for manual installation'.

All ai aircraft fly fixed schedules, as defined in the 'traffic_xxxx.bgl' files. There is no 'dynamic' or 'random' flight scheduling done by the sim.

The % variable in the 'trafficxxxx.bgl' files(s) does not create more flights, it just sets the point on  your FS Traffiic slider at which the flightplan will be active...i.e; if your slider is set to 50% it will activate any flightplans who's % is 50% or less. To activate all flightplans set the traffic sliders to 100%.

A great tool for viewing active ai traffic is the MSFS Traffic Toolbox SDK.  Once installed, you will have a new Tools menu on your FS flight window menu bar. The Tools>Traffic Toolbox>Explorer tool allows you to see status and scheduling of all active ai in your area, as well as several cool options for viewing and controlling ai aircraft.

The link is in the message...   Wink

Blue text in a forum message (usually) indicates the text is a 'hyperlink', just click on it to open the link.

Here it is again..  MSFS Traffic Toolbox SDK. Once the link has opened, scroll down to find the Traffic Toolbox SDK download.
