WINNERS, WINNERS, WINNERS

Teh Judge Garbage wished for us to take a peek behind the Iron Curtain – and picked out not three but FOUR winners!:

Here are the winning screen-shots…:

In first place…

an-225!!!!

...

"This shot had what I was looking for, nice big red star as the center piece on a very detailed aircraft over great looking scenery with a nice angle on the plane. Outstanding!"

CONGRATULATIONS, AN-225!!!!

In second place….

Mictheslik!!

...

"This shot exemplifies why he is the master of composites! I can only imagine the amount of effort put into this shot."

And in third place…it’s a TIE!!

Anxyous!

...

Todayshorse!

...

"I'm sorry but there was no way I could place one of these above the other! I studied these two all week agonizing over which I thought was better, and concluded they are equally brilliant! Anxyous' shot looks just like a photo from a gun camera with a devastating angle, and Todayshorse's shot has some of the most beautiful colors I've ever seen in a screenshot along with one of the greatest angles I've ever seen."

"You guys made it very hard on me this week and I thank you! Smiley These were all winners in my eyes, and I'm glad to see some composites made it in here! Also if I may borrow a line from Bob70:
I want to thank Roger for all his time and the work he puts into this contest every week. That's dedication!!! I can't say it any better than he did. Thanks for participating. Smiley
-Shane- "

Thanks to you too, sir, and for a very entertaining contest theme…

The An-225 is ‘almost Russian’ (though a lot of Ukrainians might disagree ; ) ) and so as a Judge an appropriate successor to this competition... Judge An shall be informed forthwith…

Cheers

Krigl

Ahhh, nice theme! More my style!  Wink Had a feeling you'd go with something like this! Already getting ideas!

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Будучи половиной русского языка самостоятельно, я имею некоторые идеи... Wink

Печально я не могу говорить или записывать никакого русского, я люблю свободных переводчиков текста! Grin

The slide show effect is a good one - i often go through my screenshot folders with the slideshow - a black background does wonders!

Я насладился бы выучить этот язык. Я всегда думал оно для того чтобы быть самыми красивейшими в мире.
Funny how the translator doesn't quite get the point across correctly. Wink(heartless software)

The Il-14 was built in the Soviet Union in a variety of versions for passenger transport, and in military variants for trooping or cargo transport. It was also well used in polar aviation. Here it is landing at the Soviet Oasis Antarctic Station. The NATO reporting name for the type is 'Crate'.
