I Love Simviation.

All I can say its ,Oh My GOD!!

I can't believe what I see , after instaled my 8400 with a new motherboard (FOXCONN) Getting FSX at 25 frames ,with antiasiliasing (Inside the game) and asinotroppic filtersExept when I apply the Bloom FX option,I can't apply it to the video card ,I download the latest driver from Nvidia.com..

Thanks God I didn't have trouble with the activations FSX and acceleration

I never seen such of beuty(the real game or closest) of this game before ,everything its soo smoth ,when I turn Pan view inside the cockpit ,makes me feel dizzy ,No frames at all,Buildings and trees looks amazing !! Man I'm so happy!! Cheesy

Nick ,I know everyone ask you things all the time ,and I think you must be tired ,But I don't know noone else that have the knowledge in this area ,Its Not an 8800gts ,But the change from an FX6200 to a 8400 was more that I could ever imagine! Shocked

Could you give me some tweaks and advise for best performance ? I format my drive and reinstall Xp ,You know some basic things to make it even better ,I really apresiate it indeed ..

Guess your getting nice frames because your running at a low resolution. Try turning t r a f f i c on Grin

You'll only get more frames if you lower your settings.
Did you download fsx service pack 1?this helps a alot.

Its probably more on the lines of going from AGP to PCIe Alex. The AGP bus was saturated before.

The card itself is not a very fast one for FSX but still a bit better than what you had before. Thats why I posted in the other thread that it will be better but dont expect miracles.

Bloom not working may suggest the card does not support the shader function for bloom. Not sure.

What driver revision are you using?

As for XP.. you know where my tweak thread is in the FSX stickys.. you must have O&O Defrag version 8.5-8.6 to use that list.

Make sure you have updated Windows XP from Windows update.. get all the updates

Make sure you have updated DirectX... that could be a reason for no bloom too.. download the latest DX web update tool and let it install the latest patch

If you didn't notice ,I have acceleration ,Oviously I got sp1...

No every one have money to afford things you know? If I could I would buy an 8800 ,I'm not in USA ..

Nick this is the version I download todays 178.13_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_whql.exe

is not like it wont run in bloom but

,Bloom works but less frames (12-10)

but Not a bit ,I would say a lot diference Cheesy

Your asking way too much
, trust me. The only time I can run bloom and it not hit my frames to the point of noticing the loss is outside of large urban areas but no matter where I am bloom is a 10 frames cost, at least

I can tell you that I use driver 174.74 Beta for XP and I also use Nhancer with special settings/setup. You will find those Nhancer settings in the XP tweak thread in the FSX forums about 5 posts down
