I'd like one as well, there's none to be found.
Edit : Actually, found one but for FS98.

Found a repaint for POSKY 747-200 in FS9, so theoretically, it should work for FSX. Next to the last on the page. Wink

FS2004 Boeing E-4B US Air Force Textures only - requires any full Project Opensky 747-200 (here) . Repaint by Brian Tunnah, Original by POSKY. 1.8MB

As soon as my download thing stops acting up, I'll see if it will work in FSX, granted it will not have the hump, but it is a start.

Installed, but it didn't work. The texture didn't say which model it is using.

What exactly didnt work? Did it not show on your aircraft list? Did you download one of the Posky base 747-200 packs before installing these textures?

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

The author claims his repaint will work with any version of the POSKY 747-200. You have to modify the Aircraft.cfg to suit.

[fltsim.XX] (Change XX to corresponding number)
title=Boeing E-4B
sim=XX (Change XX the aircrafts .Air file name)

Note that you must delete or remark the instructions in brackets or they will almost certainly cause problems.

PS. Just tried it on the Northwest Airlines 747-200 & it doesn't work. The textures all have different file names.

Well, it shows up in my aircraft list but is completely black. I'll try it with another model.
Edit : Still doesn't work.

Hmmmm, gave it a try myself. it showed up all gray for me, as if no texture was on the aircraft. Tried several different things like re-naming all the files in the texture folder, arranging the cfg entry to look the same as the plane I downloaded... no dice. I used the newer Continental livery as my initial aircraft. That one shows up just fine. It even has some FSX updates to it. So... Im kinda stumped on this one. Gonna keep investigating.

I notice the current Posky 747-200 is "Version V4 Series". Perhaps this repaint was for an earlier version?

Sorry for this mess, I've checked into it some more and it appears as though this may have been designed for FS2002, in which case I'm pretty sure they won't show in FSX. Anything I've tried to install in FSX from FS2002 had this problem. Embarrassed I am going to try and convert the textures with DXTBMP and hopefully that will work. Sorry again for the bad link, but after an hour of searching, this is the only one that pops up anywhere. I'll get back to you on wether the conversion works or not. Wink

Perhaps I should have pointed out that I tried this in FS9 which it's supposed to be intended for. It still doesn't work.

Been trying to convert these textures but still no joy. I looked around the Posky site for info, but found none, and I'm sure as hell not asking those guys any questions, so I downloaded the paint kit to see what I can do. I'll let Pete know that the download for FS9 does not work for FS9. Sorry for the bogus link Embarrassed, I will keep looking though. Wink
