Aside from the fact that stupid system has cost ferrari a number of points this season, its only been the fault of the driver once. Kimi in Valencia. Every other problem has come from the guy holding the button, the guy who'll be holding the lollipop in Fuji.
We've seen it god knows how many times where the lollipop guys released a car to early or flinched and caused the driver to go. So in this case I'm still concerned that problems will arise.
The team are a joke, they've had with only a couple of exceptions a car thats able to win any race. Take out the germany, britain and Italy gp's, there isn't a race ferrari shouldn't have won.
Canada? Kimi was closing on Lewis quickly, and passed him in the pits, taken out.
Monaco, Lewis's puncture in a fortunate place and time followed by Massa dropping it in turn 1 cost any chance of winning. (the one race I doubt they could have won)
Hungary, engine dumps itself 3 laps from the end
Singapore: we have all seen what happend there.
And thats not counting the second places that have been missed out on, Kimi in valencia engine again going plop. and so on.
These are all things that would not have happend more than once a few years back. Theres a reason Mclaren and the rest of the pitlane like this new ferrari, not because they are approachable and friendly, but because they keep raising the bar for new ways to throw away a championship.
If I were Kimi I'd be scratching away at the paint in Fuji, to make sure that the car underneath isn't his 2005 Mclaren, certain seems to be going like that.
