WINNERS, WINNERS, WINNERS

Judge Bob had a seaplane comp….and he hath spake:

Here are the winning screen-shots for the Judges Choice Seaplane contest:

In first place…

Social Garbage!!!!

China Clipper

...

"The China Clipper. The luxury liner of the skies in it's era. This screen-shot has all the elements that I was looking for. A great seaplane, beautiful skies, and very good composition. It gave me the feeling of nearing the end of a long and safe flight across the ocean.”

CONGRATULATIONS, Social Garbage!!!!

In second place….

Firemonte007!!

Bush Flying

...

"The good old D18 Beechcraft floatplane. One of my favorites - Alaska, where the seaplane is king. Overall a really nice shot.  Nice reflections on the aircraft and water. What more can I say. It has it all. Nice work.”

And in third place…

Mitch!

Canadair CL-215

...

"I really like this screenshot.  The colors, reflections on the water and the lighting are perfect.  It has a very serene and peaceful look to it. That quiet time in the late afternoon when all the days flying is done and it's time to lie back and have a cool one.”

"Well that's all folks. I want to thank everyone that took part in the Judges Choice Seaplane contest this week.  All of the entries were very nice. It was very hard for me to pick just three. They were all potential winners.

Also I want to thank Roger for all his time and the work he puts into this contest every week. That's dedication!!!

Best Regards

Bob70."

Another person thanking me! Appreciation is always appreciated… Thanks to you too Bob70 for a cool comp, and to all for getting involved.

On my way to inform our newest law lord… Judge Garbage.

It’s got a certain ring to it…whaddaya think?? Would he prefer Judge Social? For some reason my brain always transposes Sexual over Social when I see his name.

Cheers

Krigl

Thank you. I've been hoping for someone to feature seaplanes in a competition since I joined this forum. Now I finally get to do it myself. I hope we get a ton of entries. I plan on saving the entries as they are posted to my hard-drive every day. I will then make a slide show out of them. That way I feel I can better judge them all fairly. So the sooner you post them the sooner they get looked at. Will be updated everyday right up to final judgment day. Get them in early.

Uh, oh! Here comes Harold!

In the mean time, I'm submitting an old shot, probably the best I have as it relates to seaplanes.

Good luck to everyone.

Here you are Alex. It's called a Vought King Fisher. It's under WW11 Aircraft and you can download it at this site.  http://www.freewebs.com/wreckerman/index.htm. All the planes at this site work perfect in FSX.

Interesting theme Bob. I can honestly say that I have never taken a screenshot with a seaplane in it. So here's something new, for me at least.

Canadair CL-215

Cool

Sure could have fooled me, Mitch Cheesy

I like this shot. Great choice of AC (love the color and time of day). Very peaceful!

Well guys lets get busy. It's been three days and I only have six entries. You know deep down you really like seaplanes.  Grin Take a break from those big fast jets. Fly low and slow along the coastlines and rivers of the world, You don't know what you are missing. Try it you might like it.  Wink
