THE RULES

...

Below are the rules...  Any questions or comments should be directed to a judge and will be answered at the earliest available opportunity. Any contestant judged to have violated these rules will have his entry removed and be disqualified.  Please start a thread for your entries for each member...
Most of all, HAVE FUN!

Contest Starts October 6, 2008
and Ends October 31, 2008.

**
Linking images to other sites is NOT allowed and STRICTLY ENFORCED!**
YOU CAN ONLY USE A FREEWARE SCREENSHOT CAPTURE PROGRAM!

Active Camera, Walk & Follow are NOT allowed!!

1. This contest will run from October 6, 2008 until October 31, 2008. Entries submitted after Midnight on October 31, 2008 EST will not be accepted.  Judging will occur after October 31, 2008 EST and the 10 Finalists will be entered into the POLL that will be posted soon after! Now the Members will cast their vote in the Poll to determine this month's winner!

2. Open only to SimV forum members registered before
September 1, 2008.
This is to prohibit registering multiple user names to allow more entries. It is also enforced to discourage people  from joining just to try to win the monthly prize!  Sorry and better luck next time!

3. All images Must BE NO WIDER THAN 1024 AND NOT MORE THAN 150KB IN WIEGHT! No cropping, editing or adjusting your shot!! Any images over 150 kb in weight, and wider than 1024 will not be VALID!  This rule is now being enforced since This is a Screenshot Contest and we "want to see the RAW shot!" All entries must be uploaded to SimV.

4.
ONLY ONE ENTRY PER MEMBER!
Each contestant must start their own thread in the Screenshot Contest forum with their shot! Your entry must be included in this thread.

5. Screenshots from FS98, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004, FSX & CFS series only please!!

6. Once an entry is submitted, it may not be withdrawn.  This is to keep the confusion to a minimum, and to maintain forum integrity.  Entries may be withdrawn from the contest, but no additional entries from that member will be accepted.

7. Entries may be of freeware aircraft and scenery only! This keeps the playing field even!  Wink

8. Entries may not be edited in any way.  Any entry discovered to have been edited will be disqualified and the image removed from the contest.

9. All images must be produced specifically with the intent of entering them in this contest.  No screenshots previously posted images or pre-contest images will be accepted.

10. After the contest has ended and the judges have decided on the "Finalists", a "POLL" type thread will be started entitled, "Screenshot Finalists, Vote Now!" It will explain that the Poll will be closed within 48 hours. You must note the Post Time of this thread to know when it will close! This will allow the members to now vote for their favorite shot from the ones the judges have picked!

11. After 48 hours from the time the Finalist Announcement is made, the POLL will be closed and the Winner announced!

A REQUEST
We would like to ask the Author of each screenshot, to please supply us with the name & designer of the Aircraft in your post. So many people always ask "what aircraft is that", and We think it would be very informative for many of us if it were right there under the shot!
Thanks...

Is it possible to post a screen with an AI tri-engine? Like, a cessna as the player's plane, and a AI trijet?

Hey Dave

I'm not into jets that much. Any chance you could list a few three holer's besides the 727. I've been looking around on the web but I really don't know what to look for.  Thanks.

I'll have to check them out for future use. I think I found my winner.  Wink Check it out in the payware forum and the Oct. contest. The aircraft is a beauty for being freeware and flies like a dream.

I have an idea for next month's theme. The idea is "The Last Flight" as a little tribute to those who have perised to the magic of flight. I mean like real accidents like TWA800, Palm 90 (Air Florida flight 90), and other famous airliner crashes. I've never seen a screenshot contest based on one, and I think it would be a little memorial service to remind us to be responsible when we fly.

Maybe its just me but i think that sounds a bit off for a screenshot contest.
