Well I thought I might as well jump on the bandwagon with everyone and post a few shots of the new Cessna 152. I thought the scenery in the red-rock area of Sedona Arizona might make a nice match.[

The only thing about that plane is the sound, all the power of two harnessed children... Grin

...It might have 4 cylinders, but it sounds like only 3 work at any giving time... Tongue

Grin Grin Yea, I noticed that also. You really have to crank up the volume. I guess you could swap out the sound files for something that sounds better.

Cool  Smiley Are these with GEX?  I thought you used GEX but to me these look like default textures...

Yes they are with UTX and GEXn. That's just the way the Sedona area looks in FSX. I can't see much difference from the FSX default either in that area.

Really?? I'm flying a lot in the US these days thanks to SkyVector and I keep thinking I should get GEX, it seems good value for money... but then I look at screenshots like these and change my mind... does it really change much? It doesn't seem nearly so different as GE for FS9... wouldn't it be better to just use those freeware WWW textures?

If you're interested in those, all of my mountain/valley/canyon shots feature the WWW textures, the difference they made on my mountains and canyons is amazing when compared to the defaults. Smiley

Cheers  Smiley I might have to try them...

I'll probably get GEX anyway eventually... but WWW might be an idea for now while money's tight and there's plenty to buy  Grin

Hi Roger

The main reason that I bought Gex for was for the southwest deserts of the USA. These areas are where GEXn shines.  I'm hoping this will hold true for the rest of the worlds deserts with the new GEXn release.

I see what you mean mate! Gawd the default is awful! GEX's definitely much better...

...I'm hoping with GEXn Europe that the FSX European Deserts will look a bit LESS like deserts now... Grin

Me too. I wonder if they have a tentative release date yet? Nick might know. He told me that the Martin P5M project had been but on hold because they were so busy with GEX Europe.
