September 30, 2008- Manhasset, New York- Today, all premium service Empora Airlines announced an order of 15 Airbus A330-200 aircraft. These are to replace the leased 777 aircraft the airline currently uses for its ultra long haul operations. These aircraft are expected to start arriving in February.

Empora has taken control of SnapJet Virtual Airlines’ order of 15 Airbus A320s, after two week long talks. Empora announced many months ago it planned to switch to the A320 as its choice for domestic and Caribbean transport. The airline found the offer to be quite perfect for them; SnapJet had filed for VChapter 11 a few weeks ago. Empora has not made any changes to the order, the airline says that the Sumptuary Group, and the airline along with its private/corporate investors/partners will be able to afford the order. The first 5 A320’s will be arriving starting in late October as planned.

In addition to these new flights, Empora will be taking two 737 aircraft out of service where they will be retrofitted to an “upgraded economy” cabin. Like all Empora aircraft they will be equipped with PTV’s, and WIFI internet. These two aircraft will fly between New York JFK, Boston BOS, and Washington DCA. This new service will be titled “LuxServ™”. These flights will run around the clock, daily. Empora has set up store fronts as well as booths in high business traffic areas in these cities, where customers will be able to purchase tickets on LuxServ, Empora and Sheikh. The airline is relying on its business customers to make this new venture successful. Empora hopes to expand this project to the west coast in spring 2009 with its 737s that come out of service. This operation will also offer low cost fairs so everyone will be able to enjoy the Empora experience.
