I'm having dreaful problems with Vista 64bit & FS9.  I want to go back to XP.  I put the disc in but the computer won't let me do it.  I'd appreciate some tips!
Thanks,
TerryW.

Hi, Your best bet is to Format the Hard drive.

Try booting from the XP disc and choosing delete partition when asked, or try as if you are reinstalling Vista, which gives an option to format hard drive, then cancel the installation and install using xp disc.

Thanks for that.  I'm grateful to you.  I'm going to try an FS9 reinstall tomorrow & cross my fingers but if that fails I'm back to XP!

I have never tried installing FS9 onto Vista, but if it gives you a headache i would probably go back to XP, which will run FS9 better anyway.

I think most people upgrade to Vista with FSX to have the DX10 blings, which has its share of problems.

Good luck with the reinstall, Remember to back up all your personal data if your going to wipe your HD  Wink
