In the light of current events.
1.Ferrari
2.Farrari
3.Ferrari
Even though there's only 2 works Ferrari's in the race I'm sure the governing bodies at both the race and afterwards could manage to swing it.
I'll post a serious one once I've seen some practice times.

Stop press.................Silvio Berlusconi has convinced the finance consortium that pulled out of the Alitalia deal to buy up the entire F1 field and paint it red. 10 minutes in and I already love this circuit. Whether it provides good overtaking or not, I think this could be one of the best tracks yet.
And as I said months ago, these cars will look stunning under the lights, and they do..

This track looks great! Been watching about 20mins, and it's may favorite so far I think
Predictions:
1. Hamilton
2. Massa
3. Raikkonen
Is anyone else having a really crappy connection when watching pratice? I'm lucky if I get 30 seconds of smooth film then it goes all jumpy
Edit: Think I found the problem - the page streaming the video also have 3 movie adverts on it that keep refreshing, so it's trying to stream 4 videos at once. God I hate advertising,

Well that was interesting. Absolutly love this circuit. And I think Valencia has a huge job on its hands next year to even come close to where they should have been. I think I might change my plans from a couple of european races to save for this one next year.
Big question is how many laps difference is there? Lewis has been scruffy all through Quali and his last laps were not that good, so I dont think the difference is that big. Maybe 2 laps most. Kimi's going heavy. I guess Lewis might want to thank the guy who made Alonso's fuel line otherwise he'd be likely looking at an 11th place start.

Well, what a great track!I think though as already mentioned, this may be more about fitness rather than pure pace - the state of some of those guys after quaifying was quite shocking - more late 1980's than 2008!
And that i think may make it a great race - fatigue may cause incidents rather than the procession that maybe the track would offer if it wasnt the bump fest and constant work rate that it appears to be.
Sparks, oversteer, locked wheels, great stuff! Kimi and Lewis both had wall moments i noted - Lewis especaily close towards the end - brilliant stuff!

well madness from the stewards carrys on
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/70945
I cant understand how they can justify Heidfelds penalty. They ground down the commitment line over night and said if your going into the pits you have to go to the left of the now reduced line. He did that, stayed left as he should. Nothing he can do about Rubens, he cant slow down would cause a crash, pulls over to the left hits the wall, to the right he's back on the racing line. Its just an unfortunate incident that all weekend drivers have warned about.
Yet Trulli gets a small fine and a reprimand for driving the wrong way down the track at a blind corner at one of the fastest points of the track.
See its not just merc and lew who gets the wrath of inconsistency..

Good case of the stewards being accused of rediculous penalties, then to appear consistant go into COA mode

It looks like stupid SPEED TV is showing the race on tape-delay.
I'm not really surprised. That station is dedicated only to NASCAR and their own stupid little shows.
I used to watch a tape-delay on CBC after getting home from work, but they showed the WHOLE race. When they went to commercial they stopped the tape. When they came back the race was picked up a bit before from where it left off, so it actually made it a little better IMO.
I could maybe watch on the internet, but the quality would stink.

What will they impose when someone really does break the rules? Seems obeying the rules is worse than driving down the track the wrong way
Im fully expecting a 'all 20 drivers agree with stewards/FIA penaltys regarding Heidfield' report very soon....

So what punishment are Ferrari not getting this time. Not massa's fault as such, but that was appaling. Hose still attached, nearly kills his mechanic AND pulling straight out in front of the Force India. Do Ferrari have a clown operating that system?
Come one FIA. Have some balls. Black flag him.

just another run of mistakes from the team, no longer a surprise, I knew the second the safety car was out that was likely the race done.
Good race other than that. And so much for no overtaking. Great track, great location. Cant wait for next year when hopefully the few problems there were, are fixed.

Well well well! Finaly a drive through for a pit lane unsafe release for the red team! No fine this time? Im shocked!
What a farce from Ferrari today, they had the race sown up for sure. Hardly Massas fault, but he lost his head after all that. Seems Kimi did as well.
Lucky win for Alonso, seeing as all Hamiltons wins are down to luck, best car, etc according to the autosport forums - no doubt it will be down to Alonsos huge talent....
But he did drive well. Noted the way Hamilton sat next to him but not quite, by sitting on the arm of the chair before the podium. Top stuff

It's all very well Ferrari being a farce, but yet again they were only penalised for a technical infringement, not the complete and utter incompetence, failure, and danger that their "automated" release system is proving to be. Not at all Massa's fault, but he didn't miss the Force India by much, and thankfully any injury to his pit crew seems minor.
Maybe it's about time the FIA took some action on pit stops. With races won and lost over the time a pit stop takes (not particularly exciting for the spectator), teams are cutting corners, and one day someone is going to really get hurt. I personally liked the system they had at the historics weekend at Silverstone in July. Each car was stationary for a certain set time. The races were won on the track, not by how quickly the mechanics changed a wheel and fuelled the car.

Now this I don't understand and it is not a Ferrari dig, I just don't understand; Go to the pits when it is closed, get a 10 second penalty stop and go. And a dangerous release in front of another car, a drive through penalty. Seems that the punishment does not fit the crime. I would have thought that the release would be far more serious?
Other than that, a good race. As far as racing at night, I could take it or leave it, though you do see some visual effect that are not normally or so clearly see i.e. nice spark showers and unburnt fuel in the exhausts etc

Well I didn't even watch it. The more I thought about the way FIA is running (or is that ruining?) things lately and the idiots at SPEED tape delaying the race the madder I got. I finally got so fed up that I went to bed at around 6 a.m. and now I'm enjoying the MotoGP races at Motegi.

I V+ed (like Sky+ but the poor man's version) the race, and watched it "as live" after work (had the radio off on the journey home, to avoid any mention of the result.. ).
Great race, great track and a surprising result.
Singapore is here to stay on the calendar.

Little thing. but the V+ is actually better in pretty much every area to the Sky+ box. It's a little slower but you can record far more, and more channels. I like to watch quali the same way, you can fast forward all the waffle and crap before hand, avoid the commercial breaks, and fast forward the first couple of minutes of the session to avoid that bore. I come home from work in my lunch break to catch it, and you can cut an almost 2 hour program into 40 minutes at most and miss nothing. You know all the pre show stuff will be repeated anyway sundays.

Is it just me, but on the first lap, first corner I think? didn't Alonso cut the corner, gained two or three places and not give them back?
If your not part of the answer your part of the problem! &&I've often wanted to drown my troubles, but I can't get my wife to go swimming. &&&&

It's been brought up several places, sadly I failed to tape this one so cant check. You can bet that if this were the case both Williams and Mclaren would have lodged an appeal by now though.

Of course, nothing will be done about this. He doesnt drive a silver car.
Although if he did it beggars belief that nothing should happen going by the hoo haa over spa, but for the championship, The result couldnt really have been better for Mclaren. Any one other than the ferraris can win, as long as Hamilton gets a top three.
Am i right in thinking Hamilton can now finish second to Massa in all three remaining races and still win the championship? I expect Hamilton to win at least one of the remaining three anyway.

Indeed he can.. Ferrari now need Kimi to do his best rear gunner action and keep himself between Lewis and Felipe.
A supporting role from a current World Champ! Quality.

you are correct. 7 point lead 6 avaliable in 1-2's
I look at it this way, barring a downpour Brazil should be a ferrari 1-2, that would mean a 3rd place for Lewis gives him a 3 point cushion to cover in China and Japan. If it were to finish on a tie for points, right now Massa has 5 victories to Lewis' 4. that means should Massa take the win in Brazil Lewis would have to win China and Fuji to tie victory numbers, and I believe he'd win the title based on 2nd places. (take into account thats going on the fact that results go the way of a tie obviously. say a dnf for Lewis.
For me the only concern is Fuji, in the dry they were as quick as the mclarens last year, but it's likely to be rain. China, Ferrari are always quick round. And Brazil seems to be Massa's track.

I've seen friendlier first posts..
I take it you know Craig then?
To answer your question, he's as slim and toned as an Olympic athlete, having met up with him earlier in the year I can vouch for this
