Does anyone know of a version of the F-302 from the Stargate TV series.  I've been looking for one for ages and still no luck.

Preferably for FS9 although I know that some FSX stuff will work (after a fashion) in FS9.

Here's hoping and thanks for looking.

Alex.

The only SG-1 add-ons that I know of are two versions of the Death Gliders and a scenery add-on for the Star Gate as it would have appearad in front to the Great Pyramid at Giza.  I don't recall off the top of my head which version of FS they are for, except I think the Star Gate is for FS9.

Thanks Kat.  I picked up the two Death Gliders and the gate a while back and they fly (and sit there looking pretty) quite happily in FS9.

But I've been looking all over the place for the Earth Fighter/Death Glider hybrid for a while now but without any success.

There are versions for some console games and I've found some plans and had briefly thought about giving it a go to build one myself but it's simply way out of my league.  I think I'd be dead before I got a working version - probably from a stress induced heart attack.

It gives you a great persepctive on how talented these guys are who model the planes we see in the download section - I regularly take my hat off to them.

Oh well ... looks like the search goes on.

Thanks for your comments.

Alex.

If you think you might like to build it, give it a go!  Can't hurt, and you're bound to learn something from it.  Even if you just learn that you can't seem to get a box to look right, that's okay.  At least you tried.  Then come back and beg for a builder's attention.  They'll respect you more . . . Wink

Comments noted, Travis ... thanks.

I hadn't thought of trying to engage a builder to do this one, I'm just surprised someone somewhere hasn't already built one.

There are tons of Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek/Wars machines out there and even a few Halo and Babylon 5 ships etc., but just a couple of Stargate?  Maybe the fan base doesn't include the usual plane designers or maybe it's just a weird design to replicate, who knows?

I keep looking at the plans I have and thinking 'how hard can it be?' then after a while I remember why - maybe now you've thrown down the gauntlet ...........  Undecided

It's not that the fanbase doesn't include designers (I am a member of both categories) but that the design itself is a little hard to get around.  I personally don't like high-powered jet fighters, so I would hardly ever get myself into this project.  I'm also not an avid fan of that particular aircraft.  I think the X-303 and X-304 are much more interesting ships, but that's just my opinion.

Have you made any headway in the arena of getting the model made?
